Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

"One, two..." Fast forward a year and a half later, I was currently doing a unique set of exercises that I developed in my past life called Lifebound.

Lifebound uses a set of exercises combined with a breathing technique to give each and every muscle in the body training.

From the tiniest spot on the back to even nose muscles were trained by it. Even my internal organs were affected too.

Though I still haven't perfected using it on my head.

My brain is delicate, okay?

"Haaahhh..." I let out a sigh and watched as my breath shot across the room and shook a cup resting on a table some distance away.

"Guess I'll leave it at that for today." Naturally, I did not want to stop but I've been at it for four days straight and my parents would most likely be worried about me.

After all, I'm currently in one of the most dangerous fields in our territory, the Ever Silent Graveyard.

Part of the reason why our mansion was built here was to station resources to conquer and explore the dungeon.

With an unknown number of floors, only 32 have been explored.

"... Though I'm currently on the 40th." That said, that didn't mean I was stronger than everyone else. My martial arts specialty is running away and hiding.

Like they say, if you can't beat an opponent, just run and hide until you can.

"The monsters here are pretty dangerous." Even without looking, my instincts were telling me that even the weakest monster here would easily kill me.

"But it's not like they would ever come here. After all..." I looked up at the behemoth hanging from the ceiling asleep.

I was sure it had noticed me but it was probably too lazy to stamp me out.

It's kind of like when you're about to sleep and there's this really annoying insect next to you but you're just so tired you decide not to kill it unless it does something foolish.

That's the situation I'm in. It does piss me off a little but I got a safe practice area so no complaining!

"I'll be heading back now." I waved at the behemoth and left the place while hiding and suppressing my aura to the max.

Roughly half an hour later, I was back in the mansion and was changing my clothes when my mother burst into the room with panic clearly visible on her face.

"Oh, it's nice to see you mother." I buttoned the last button and gave her a slight bow.

"Sai!" I felt something engulf me not even up to two seconds since the declaration was made and I was lifted into the air.

"Where did you go?! You made mama so worried, you know!" She brought me and rubbed her cheek against mine and I just accepted it without saying anything.

"I went to a graveyard. I thought I could get in some good training there."

About half a year ago, I told my parents the bit about me being reincarnated. Surprisingly, they accepted it quite easily and from there in, my mother's pampering increased as though it received a boost. Mama power, increase!

"Don't go to graveyards. What if a ghost gets you?" She dropped me and I took in the oxygen that I wasn't allowed to before and brought a chair for her.

"It's fine, I found a really safe spot and monsters won't dare come to that spot." She would probably freak out if she knew I was doing training under one of the most dangerous beasts in the territory so I left that part out.

"A safe place in a graveyard?" I heard my mom say something and she turned to me with a cold look in her eyes.

"You didn't go to the Ever Silent Graveyard, did you?"

"Gulp."

"Okay, no desserts for you."

Hearing that, I instantly dropped to my knees and prostrated in front of my mother with my forehead pressed flat against the floor.

"Please have compassion my lady and bestow upon me your blessings." I said and rubbed my head for extra measure.

"Stop it, I was just joking, you know." The woman let out a sigh and a force raising my body up and I looked to see her walking out of the room.

"Your father is waiting for you. He's really angry this time." I gulped as she delivered those words and left the room.

My father by nature is a very calm person. Which is precisely what makes it so terrifying when he's angry.

Come to think of it, I remember him saying I had some meeting to attend with him but I was so focused on my training I filtered everything out.

I wonder if there are any deities out there capable of helping me out of this mess.

Thinking like that, I dragged my feet as I approached my father's study.

"Father, I have arrived." I looked at the imposing mahogany door in front of me and steeled my nerves and announced.

"Come in." And with that, I approached my room and thanked the world for giving me a second chance at life.
