I twitched my lips and silently headed towards the playground.

Luckily it was daytime; if it were night, I would've been scared to death.
I snapped out of my daze, brushing off the sunflower seed shells on my hands. "What's wrong?"
The man, around thirty, medium build, dressed in shorts and a t-shirt, had blood on his forehead and bruises all over his hands and feet. Clearly, he had just been beaten by some thugs.
"Our performance was poor, so the supervisor locked us in the water dungeon for two days. My friend is in the dog cage, starving to death."
The man was very emotional, despite his own dire condition, still worrying about his friend.
