The old lecher's shameless behavior left me stunned.
"Get out!" Wrench hadn't even finished speaking when the old lecher quickly fled with his bodyguards. Soon after, staff from the park came to escort them to the casino for entertainment. Since the casino has its own security, our "security" duties were over. However, as the head of the park's security, Wrench still needed to patrol. As for Bayi and me, we were free to move around.
Once everyone had left the venue, the etiquette lady came over, her face a mix of smiles and tears, to thank me. I casually asked, "Did you just get here?"
"Yes," she nodded, wiping her tears. "I'm a model from an ad company in Zhejiang. Last week, a friend told me about a big job here for a jade company, promising over 500,000 yuan in bonuses. It sounded better than what I earned back home, so I came over. But as soon as I landed, a few men took me here…"
In Myanmar, there are no high-paying jobs, only high-risk ones.
"They didn't do anything to you, did they?" I knew I shouldn't ask but couldn't help it.
"On my first night here, I was… Fortunately, the supervisor took a liking to me, so I didn't suffer as much. Can you help me leave this place?" She grabbed my hands, looking pitiful.
"I can't. Give up on that idea!" I removed her hands and replied coldly. It's not that I didn't want to help; I truly couldn't. I was barely getting by myself. How could I promise to save her? If she turned me in, it would endanger Chen Weiqiang, Bayi, and even Wrench. I couldn't trust someone I just met.
"You can definitely help me. If you get me out, I'll give you anything." She was desperate, clinging to the hope that I could help her escape.
"Sorry, I'm just a lowly guard here temporarily assigned to maintain order. I really can't help you." I calmly removed her pale hands again.
She stared at me for three seconds before smirking coldly, "A lowly guard, huh!" With that, she quickly left the venue, her high heels clacking on the floor.
"Bayi…"
Bayi was stunned, holding his electric baton and looking at me in confusion.
"Let's go, I'll explain outside." I put my arm around his shoulder and led him out of the venue. Once we were in an empty corridor, I warned him, "Remember, if anyone asks you to help them escape, don't ever agree. Otherwise, you'll end up like me."
"Huh?" Bayi was even more confused.
"I was betrayed in Kokang, which is why… I don't want to suffer like that again." I let go of him, carrying my AK back to the office.
"Brother, don't worry, I would never betray you." Bayi, though he looked like a tough guy, was actually a sincere and straightforward person. A true "iron man" from a technical background, stubborn and not one to play mind games.
As we reached the office, we saw Sister Yu hobbling down the corridor, walking slowly and painfully like an old lady. I shouted mockingly, "Sister Yu, had fun last night?"
She glared at me angrily and continued her slow shuffle.
"Brother, what did she play?" Bayi asked, intrigued.
"Adult games."
"Teach me, I'm an adult too." Bayi seemed very interested.
I looked at him seriously, "You're not suitable, and neither am I. It's not for the young."
Bayi wanted to ask more but didn't dare. He just kept staring at Sister Yu, who was struggling to walk.
"Little bottle, one day I'll have you," she said as she finally reached me, her eyes full of desire. It reminded me of the time she spied on me at the gym, making me shiver.
"Watch out, you might get a mouthful of hair." I ignored her and led Bayi into the office.
"Do you want to know Paitun's weakness?" Sister Yu suddenly asked.
I paused, tempted to know but trying to act indifferent.
"Tonight at 11, come to the back hill," she said, bumping my hip. "You've got a great body, better than that beast Paitun."
I frowned, resisting the urge to get angry. I'm a person, of course I'm better than a beast!
"Be there, or miss out," she said, hobbling into the office.
I didn't believe she'd tell me anything useful. She probably wanted to trick me! I sighed and walked into the office.
Bayi seemed to understand a bit, staying quiet and following me in.
"Wow, did someone have a rough night?" Lacy taunted as soon as Sister Yu walked in.
"Shut up, you freak," Sister Yu snapped.
Lacy, the perverted woman, was busy torturing a newbie with an electric baton, making the poor girl scream in agony on the floor. Lacy walked over and slapped Sister Yu, "Who are you calling a freak?"
Sister Yu's pretty face immediately bore a red handprint. "You… you dare hit me?"
In the Kokang park, Sister Yu was used to bullying others. No one had ever dared hit her.
Fuming, she glared at Lacy, her chest heaving with anger, but Lacy pushed her again, "Touch me again, and I'll send you to work as a lowly servant on a ship."
"Let's see," Sister Yu muttered, limping back to her workstation.
"Disgusting slut, don't think getting close to the supervisor will save you," Lacy spat before turning back to her patrol.
Bayi and I exchanged glances and returned to our workstations. No matter who won, it didn't affect us. Sooner or later, I'd deal with them both.
"Hey, you're back!" Fatty greeted us, clearly happy since our work boosted his performance.
"Yeah, checking on things." I slung my AK behind me and opened my computer. Fatty took one look at my gun and quickly moved away, afraid I might accidentally shoot him.
Having a real weapon certainly makes people wary.
Lacy, that perverted woman, kept her legs crossed, staring at me with who knows what filthy thoughts in her mind.
