Chapter 92 - The descendants of the Peng family army?

"I bid 600,000!"

Boss Cai shouted arrogantly, holding up his sign. The room erupted into chaos at his outburst.

"Wow, she's not worth that much, no matter how pretty she is. He might end up losing money on this deal."

"He's just trying to outbid Boss Peng. Winning isn't his goal."

"Oh... I get it."

The bosses sitting next to me whispered among themselves. They were talking about whether they could extract more value from the woman than they paid for her. This batch wasn't "original," so the prices were a bit inflated.

According to Wrench, the starting price for "original" goods was 120,000. For those with exceptional looks, the price could go up to a million. Truly astronomical figures.

"Damn it, Cai! Are you really trying to mess with me today?" Boss Peng yelled angrily. He was about thirty years old, unlike the older sleazebags. If he had a gun, I had no doubt he would shoot the old sleazebag right now.

"What, you think you're something special? Among all the bosses here, in terms of assets and status, who do you think you are?" Boss Cai sneered, pointing at the others.

"Who do you think I am? Are you blind? The Peng Family Army of Kokang! You can't just point your finger at me!" Boss Peng, young and fiery, slammed the table and jumped up.

The Peng Family Army... could it be Peng Jiasheng?

I was stunned to see a descendant of the Peng family here. Peng Jiasheng, the King of Kokang, was a legendary figure. His ancestors had settled in Myanmar from Sichuan, China, and through five generations accumulated wealth. Under the pressure from the Myanmar government, Peng Jiasheng rose up and created a legendary era. He once angered the Yang Army with his anti-drug campaigns and was betrayed by Bai Suocheng, ultimately being forced to flee Kokang. A tragic end for a legendary figure.

"The Peng Family Army? What a joke! Kid, wake up! Open your eyes and see whose era it is now. The Peng Family Army has long fallen. Your Peng Jiasheng is nothing in front of the Four Families!" Boss Cai laughed scornfully.

"Call my great-grandfather a joke again, and I'll kill you!" Boss Peng was truly furious, rushing forward to fight.

"Young master, don't be impulsive. It's not worth it to argue with a dog." His bodyguard quickly grabbed his waist.

A moment later, his fist almost landed on Boss Cai's head.

"Peng Xiaoming, you dare touch me? I'll make sure you never leave Myawaddy!" Boss Cai wasn't afraid and swung his fist back.

"What are you doing? Is this the place to fight?" I stepped forward and grabbed Boss Cai's wrist, shouting angrily. I didn't necessarily want to help Peng Xiaoming but if I didn't stop them from fighting, Liu Eleven would punish me for negligence. So, I'd rather handle it myself.

"Who the hell are you? Let go of me!" Boss Cai glared at me, stunned for a moment.

This guy was clearly used to being arrogant. But I wasn't going to put up with it. I had a bit of authority now and intended to use it.

"Fight here, and I'll shoot you!" I released his wrist and pointed my AK at his head, barking orders.

"Are you looking for death? Get that gun away from my boss's head!" His bodyguard got angry and reached for my gun.

"Bang!" He missed and I knocked him down with the butt of my gun.

Chairs around us went flying. "Believe me, I'll shoot you right now!" I cocked my gun and pointed it at him, making the atmosphere even tenser.

Nobody saw my moves clearly. The 2-meter-tall bodyguard was on the ground, and with me holding a gun in KK's territory, the other bosses were stunned. Some even backed away to maintain a safe distance.

Ba Yi, hearing the commotion, hurried over to support me. He was ready to fight, looking quite formidable.

"Boss Cai, do you want trouble here? Do you want to leave Myawaddy?" Wrench calmly walked over, frowning. His tone was light but carried weight. The other guards with guns also surrounded us, making Boss Cai speechless. His bodyguard lost his temper.

"Bosses, if you're not buying, please leave and don't disrupt the auction," the hostess intervened, breaking the awkward silence.

"I'm sorry, Captain Wrench. It's my fault. My man didn't know better. Please forgive us." Boss Cai immediately changed his attitude, smiling and apologizing.

"Apologize to him," Wrench said, glaring at Cai before looking at me.

"Sir, I'll have him apologize right now." Boss Cai's eyes flickered with cunning as he turned to his bodyguard. "Get up and apologize! Be smarter next time, and don't offend anyone."

The bodyguard, suppressing his anger, stood up and bowed his head to me. "I'm sorry, brother."

"I'm no brother to a coward like you. Stay in line. I'm a violent man, and I love shooting people for fun." I poked his chest with my gun and walked towards Peng Xiaoming.

Even Peng Xiaoming, used to big scenes, was stunned. Where was he? What was happening? Why was it ending like this?

"Deal with dogs by playing first and killing later," I whispered as I passed him.

"...?" Peng Xiaoming stared at me, confused.

His bodyguard was equally puzzled.

"Hah!" I sneered and walked to the corner of the venue.

The other bosses, recovering from their shock, resumed watching the bidding for Number 3.

"I bid 700,000!" Peng Xiaoming calmly raised his sign again, stealing a glance at me.

I leaned against the wall, smoking. The smoke covered my face, hiding my emotions from everyone, including the cameras.

"Bro." Ba Yi came over, and I signaled him to stay quiet and just watch. I handed him a cigarette, and he joined me against the pillar, silently smoking.

"I bid 800,000!" Boss Cai was determined to get Number 3. Gritting his teeth, he raised the bid.

The other bosses whispered among themselves.

"Sorry, I don't have enough money today. I'll leave it to Boss Cai." Peng Xiaoming stood up and smiled.

Well done. I sneered internally.

Boss Cai, trembling with anger, pointed at Peng Xiaoming and cursed, "Peng, you bastard, you tricked me!"
