Giovanni pushed himself up from the icy ground, his entire body shivering uncontrollably as he struggled to regain his footing. His fingers, numb and stiff with the biting cold, ached painfully as he tried to flex them. Squinting against the relentless assault of the whirling snow, he strained to see through the thick veil of white. The desolate landscape stretched out before him, a monotonous expanse of the snow covered terrain disappearing into the opaque horizon.
His heart pounded in his chest as he fought to make sense of his surroundings, searching for any sign of life or shelter. He was all alone, no other soul in sight, abandoned amid a merciless snowstorm.
The towering peaks that rose all around him seemed eerily familiar, but the raging blizzard obscured any distinct landmarks. He staggered forward, his feet crunching through the thick layer of snow as he fought to remember how he had ended up in this frozen wilderness.
