Luciano trudged through the narrow passageway, slightly burdened by the weight of the mortal on his back. His arms tightened around his neck. He was supporting the weight as his head rested on his shoulder and when he felt a shiver run down his spine, he sensed the intensity of the gaze burning into the side of his head. Looking over at the mortal through his peripheral vision, he could sense his unspoken thoughts that seemed to permeate the air, leaving Luciano on edge.
The mortal was surprisingly holding something back, keeping his thoughts private. With a dismissive glance ahead, Luciano wondered just how much longer their journey through the passageway would be.
Still feeling his intrigued gaze, he turned around and met his greys. "What?"
He arched his brows guilelessly and when his gaze hardened on him, the mortal hesitantly pressed with childlike curiosity, "So what did you and this Lilith do together?"
