Luciano caught her eyes widening, a myriad of emotions flickering across her face. She seemed confused at first, but then a mix of worry and hesitation painted her expression. She was definitely not expecting him to ask for her help. Neither was he, but he was in a moment of need and she was the only one who could assist him which meant that he had to swallow his pride.
"What do you need my help for?"
"If I tell you, you won't want to help me."
She arched her eyebrow.
Luciano shifted uncomfortably, clasping and unclasping his hands as he tried to predict what her reaction would be. Would she immediately turn him away? "I need to retrieve a fae fetter noose from the labyrinthine caves."
"How the fuck do you—" Realisation hit her like a ton of bricks and she pinched her nose in frustration. "Grim."
"I did not tell you that."
