Kiran In the bustling classroom, Kiran sat deep in thought, pondering on how to evade the notorious Maggia gang who was hot on his trail. "So one of the biggest gangs in Queens are after me. Wow, I must have really announced myself well, but I still need to come up with a name," Kiran muttered to himself, gazing out the window for inspiration.
Suddenly, the math teacher's voice broke his reverie. "Mr. Walker, am I boring you?" the teacher inquired, catching Kiran off guard as he fumbled in his seat. "No sir, I mean, no, I'm sorry," Kiran stammered nervously, trying to compose himself as the teacher resumed the lesson. After the class ended, Kiran made his way through the bustling school halls, overhearing a group of students excitedly discussing a video on their phone.
"Dude, look at this. It's incredible! This guy stopped a car and took down those Maggia thugs," one of the boys exclaimed, showing off the video of Kiran in his costume. "Yeah, people are calling him Spider..." another boy started, but their conversation was cut short by the school bell signaling the end of the break. "Glad I sorted out the costume situation earlier," Kiran mused quietly to himself before striding off towards his next class.
In the bar with no name, a man dressed in all black entered, carrying a mysterious briefcase. "So you're here, Aiden. Have you got it?" one of the men asked eagerly. "Yes, 100 million in cash. But what are you going to use it for?" Aiden questioned. "To deal with the bug problem. I'll turn the entire city against him. Let's keep this from the boss," the man replied, as Aiden nodded and placed the briefcase on the table.
Meanwhile, Kiran was in his room, studying his late mother's folder while engrossed in a book. Feeling perplexed, he pondered, "I can't figure it out. I may need some help, but from whom?" Just then, his homemade police scanner crackled to life. "Attention all units, we have a request to check the old warehouse," the voice announced. "I could use some exercise," Kiran mused, swiftly changing into his costume and web shooters before swinging out of his room.
Arriving at the warehouse, Kiran perched on a rooftop, surveying the area. Suddenly, a tingling sensation in his head alerted him, and he narrowly dodged a sniper's bullet, somersaulting to the ground. "That wasn't nice. At least say hello before you shoot at me," Kiran quipped, facing three masked men emerging from the shadows. "This is the punk that's been causing the Maggia trouble," one of the men declared.
"Don't let your guard down, he just dodged a bullet from 25 feet away," the man in the earpiece warned before reloading his sniper. "You heard his boys; don't hold back. The faster we kill this guy, the faster we get our money," the leader said, pulling out two swords, while the big one put on electric gauntlets and the other pulled out two pistols, shooting as Kiran dodged, backflipping to evade the bullets.
Suddenly, the big guy punched Kiran, knocking him into wooden crates. "I wouldn't call this a fair fight," Kiran quipped, then dodging the next attack, swinging in the air before kicking the big guy, knocking him down. He then dodged the swords, trying to punch the other guy, but being blocked, as he was cut on the side, blood dripping out. Kiran jumped on a wall, sticking to it while grabbing his left side. "Hey, this suit was hard to make; I'm definitely charging you for damages," Kiran quipped, then dodging the bullets, running and jumping on the walls with agility and determination.
"I better split them up but first," he thought, his mind racing with strategies. Just as a sniper on the walls took aim, Kiran dodged the incoming web attack, narrowly avoiding being ensnared. But before he could breathe a sigh of relief, the massive Ox lunged at him, grabbing hold and crushing him in a powerful grip.
"Now I got you, insect. No one can escape the Ox's grip," Ox boasted, his arms wrapping tightly around Kiran, squeezing the air out of him. "Firstly, spiders are arachnids, not insects. That's a common misconception. And I happen to have the proportional strength of a spider." With a burst of energy, Kiran headbutted Ox, then used his agile legs to push him back slightly before leaping onto a nearby metal bar.
"Who are you guys? I mean the circus is not in town," Kiran quipped, trying to lighten the tense atmosphere. The leader of the group responded coldly, "All you need to know, boy, is that we're here to collect that 100 million on your head." Kiran's eyes widened in surprise at the mention of the hefty sum. Without hesitation, he sprang into action, dodging bullets with acrobatic flips and using his web-shooting abilities to disarm his attackers. With swift movements, he dispatched the gunmen and swiftly took down the leader with a well-timed leg sweep. As he evaded the attacks of a hulking figure named Ox, Kiran's tingled feeling allowing him to dodge a sniper bullet just in time.
"This is becoming a little dangerous, don't you think it's time for a cool down," Kiran remarked, his voice steady despite the adrenaline coursing through his veins. With a swift movement, he leaped off the wall and swung towards the sniper, aiming a kick at the man. However, his leg was swiftly captured by the sniper, who retaliated with a flurry of kicks and punches, sending Kiran reeling.
The force of the assault propelled Kiran through the decaying wooden roof, crashing down to the ground with the sniper on top of him. As Kiran struggled to regain his footing, he quickly shot his web towards an unstable metal pole, yanking it towards the sniper. Sensing the impending danger, the sniper agilely dodged the incoming pole, only to find Kiran mysteriously vanished. "So he's just an amateur," the man muttered to himself, his confidence unwavering. With a composed demeanor, the sniper made his way outside, regrouping with his team as they prepared for their next move
In Gwens room, she was diligently working on her homework while sitting on her cozy bed when she suddenly heard a knock on her window. Curious, she walked towards it and was surprised to see a masked man standing outside. Gwen hesitated for a moment before opening the window.
"What are you doing here?" she asked, noticing the masked man's heavy breathing. "Gwen, I need your help," the masked man, revealed as Kiran, said, struggling to take off his mask to show Gwen his true identity. "Kiran?" Gwen questioned in disbelief as she helped him inside and gently laid him on a chair. "You're the one who's been stopping those bad guys?" she inquired, her eyes filled with concern as she searched for something to clean the cut wound on Kiran's side.
"This isn't how I planned on telling you, hehe," Kiran chuckled slightly, wincing in pain. "This explains all those bruises and sleeping in class," Gwen remarked, continuing to assist Kiran. "I'm sorry, Gwen, for coming here, but I was on the verge of blacking out," Kiran confessed, his eyes reflecting gratitude towards Gwen.
"It's okay. I'm glad you trusted me with this secret, but who did this to you?" Gwen asked, her voice laced with worry. "Some hired men. Apparently, I have a 100 million dollar bounty on my head; the Maggia must really want me dead," Kiran explained, his determination shining through despite the odds stacked against him. "You need to lay low; you can't take on an organization like this," Gwen advised, her hand gently cupping Kiran's face.
"I can't. I made a promise to myself. Gwen, I need to stop them, or more people will get hurt," Kiran declared, his gaze unwavering as he locked eyes with Gwen, who looked down, processing the gravity of the situation. "Don't worry, Gwen. I won't go down that easy," Kiran vowed, his hand reaching out to hold Gwen's face as she nodded in understanding. "Well, you better get some sleep. I'll call your aunt to let her know. Don't worry; I'll keep your secret safe," Gwen reassured Kiran as he finally succumbed to exhaustion and fell unconscious.
Next day, in the dimly lit bar with no name, the mysterious sniper known only as The Man sat at a secluded table, his eyes fixed on the video playing on his laptop. The footage showed a young man named Kiran, swift and agile, effortlessly evading his opponents in a fierce fight. "Amazing," The Man muttered to himself, his lips curling into a sinister smile.
"This boy moves like a spider. I must learn more about him." Meanwhile, at the other end of the bar, Ox, The Man's loyal companion and right-hand man, fumed with impatience. "Boss, when are we gonna look for the spider? I need some payback," he growled, clenching his fists in anticipation. The Man raised a hand, calming Ox with a steely gaze. "Soon, my friend. But first, we must gather more information on this elusive spider. We need to know who he is, where he comes from," The Man replied, his mind already formulating a plan. "Once we have that, we can collect the bounty on his head." As the waiter approached their table with a tray of drinks, The Man's eyes gleamed with anticipation.
In school, Kiran and Gwen were sitting on the bleachers when Gwen noticed a dead spider in a small tube. "It's beautiful," Gwen remarked. "I didn't get that impression when it bit me," Kiran replied. "Does it scare you, what you can do?" Gwen inquired. "At first, yeah. But after saving all those people, it felt like I was meant to do this, like it's my purpose," Kiran responded confidently. "How are you going to stop the Maggia?" Gwen asked curiously.
"Don't know. I gotta find their hideout first, then go from there," Kiran explained. As Gwen gazed ahead at the sun, Kiran found himself mesmerized by her beauty, almost reaching out to grab her hand when a tingling sensation in his head interrupted the moment. Reacting quickly, he grabbed the football aimed at Gwen. "I guess this is one of your abilities? Catching balls," Gwen teased, bursting into laughter as Kiran blushed, his face turning red with embarrassment.
In the bustling afternoon of Queens, Kiran suited up in his costume and swung through the city streets on patrol. As he soared through the air, he couldn't help but think about the assignments he should be working on instead. "I should be catching up on those assignments, but here I am, swinging through Queens looking for trouble," Kiran mused to himself, amused by the contrast in his double life.
As he landed on the side of a building, Kiran took a moment to adjust his utility belt, ensuring his web shooters were fully stocked. "I really need to find time to increase my web capacity," he thought. Suddenly, the sound of police sirens pierced the air, drawing Kiran's attention. Without hesitation, he swung towards the commotion, where a tense shootout between the police and the notorious Maggia gang was unfolding.
"Didn't your mom tell you to never play with explosives?" he quipped, a hint of sarcasm in his voice. Without missing a beat, he shot webs at one of the men, the web striking him with precision, causing him to stumble. Using his acrobatic skills, Kiran swiftly took down the rest of the men, dodging bullets and knocking them down one by one. As the chaos ensued, he managed to disarm the bomb, ensuring no harm would come to anyone nearby. "Now just stay quietly," Kiran commanded, his voice firm as he surveyed the scene. However, before he could react, he was grabbed from behind, forcefully knocked into a nearby store. The sound of shattering glass filled the air as he was thrown into a display of delicate vases, the impact sending shards flying in all directions.
"Oh hey Ox, didn't know you were still in town. I thought the circus pulled your act," Kiran quipped with a smirk, eying the burly figure in front of him. "This time, bug, I'm going to squash you," Ox declared, slipping on his electric gauntlets before charging at Kiran with fierce determination. Kiran, quick on his feet, anticipated the attack and skillfully dodged, using Ox's momentum to propel him into the next room.
"I feel bad for the store owner, hope he has superhero insurance," Kiran remarked coolly, effortlessly evading a sword attack and executing a graceful backflip onto a nearby shelf. "Hey, I was wondering where you were, Leonardo," Kiran teased, only to be met with a confused expression from the sword-wielding man standing before him.
"What are you going on about, boy? My name's not Leonardo," the man retorted, adopting a defensive stance. "Have you not seen Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? You know what, I bet you haven't, seeing as you're trying to kill me," Kiran taunted, leaping to evade Ox's charging attack and clinging to the ceiling. "Hey, there's only two of you. Where's the rest of your band?" Kiran quipped, his voice laced with bravado.
"Do you ever shut up, boy!" the man with the swords screamed before pulling out a grenade and throwing it at Kiran. With quick reflexes, him and Ox ran out the door, the Kiran knew he had to act fast. As the grenade flew towards him, Kiran swiftly activated his web shooters, capturing the grenade in a web and emptying it out, containing the explosion and minimizing the damage. The blast still sent him flying, but thanks to Kiran's quick thinking, him managed to escape only his costume damage.
"Great, now I really need a new costume," he muttered to himself before landing gracefully in his room. With a flick of his wrist, he refilled his web shooters and began to take off his mask, ready to relax after a long night of crime-fighting. Just as he was about to unwind, there was a knock on his door. "Kiran, are you up?" his Aunt's voice called out. Panic set in as Kiran scrambled to take off his costume discreetly.
"No!" he called out, his heart racing. But his Aunt wasn't fooled. "Because I need your help. You said you would fix the stove since it's not turning on," she insisted, her voice muffled through the door. "I-I'm coming, Aunt. Just give me a minute," Kiran stammered, still struggling to remove his costume. As his Aunt turned the knob and entered the room, Kiran quickly dove for his bed, grabbing the covers to shield himself. "Kiran, are you okay? Your face is bruised up," his Aunt observed, concern evident in her voice.
"Oh, I just saw a video of a guy doing tricks on a skateboard and tried to replicate it," Kiran said, quickly making up a lie to cover his tracks. His aunt, who was in the room, raised an eyebrow skeptically. "You don't have a skateboard," she pointed out. Kiran's eyes widened in panic.
"Whattttt," he exclaimed, trying to think of another excuse. "Downstairs stove now," his aunt commanded, seeing through his fib. Realizing he had to divert her attention, Kiran pleaded, "Yeah, I will, just please, I need to get dressed." As his aunt left the room, Kiran quickly locked the door and grabbed his phone, dialing Gwen's number.
"Hello," Gwen answered cheerfully. "Ummm hey Gwen... Just so you know, the thing I wanted to ask is for tomorrow... Probably should tell you it's at the movies, and if you still want to go?" Kiran said, mentally kicking himself for not being more prepared. Gwen chuckled, "Yeah, but you know I still need the address to go, hehe." "Oh, right, it's at the Kew Gardens Cinemas. I'll see you tomorrow at 6 then," Kiran confirmed.
"Yep, I'll see you—better bring your best suit," Gwen teased before hanging up, kicking her feet in excitement on her bed. Kiran couldn't contain his joy and leaped onto the ceiling, sticking to it in excitement. "Woohoo!" he yelled, feeling elated. "Kiran, stove!" his aunt's voice called from downstairs, snapping him out of his celebratory moment. Kiran quickly dropped down, changing out of his costume.
On a rooftop, the mercenaries crouched in the shadows, planning their attack on Kiran. "Okay, this time we take down the big bug and get our 100 million," the sniper man declared, the rest of the team nodding in agreement. The next day, Kiran was getting ready for his first date. He slipped on a superhero t-shirt and shorts, feeling confident in his choice. His Aunt walked in, a disapproving look on her face.
"You're not wearing that for your first date, right?" she questioned. Kiran, slightly taken aback, asked, "What's wrong with the way I'm dressed?" Aunt smiled and suggested, "Come on, think your Uncle has something in the closet." Kiran followed her to his late Uncle's closet, filled with unexpected stylish clothing. "Wow, he really wore this? I never knew Uncle had style, considering he always wore that island t-shirt," Kiran chuckled, reminiscing about his Uncle with a smile. Aunt noticed the change in his expression and remarked, "Haven't seen that smile in a while. How about you try this on?"
Kiran hopped out of the cab, his outfit perfectly styled in a white t-shirt, black jacket, black jeans, and trendy high-top Converse sneakers. "I wonder why my Aunt told me to come early? I don't even see Gwen," Kiran mused to himself as he scanned the area. Lost in thought, his eyes suddenly landed on Gwen, dressed in a striking black dress with her hair elegantly curled up. Kiran found himself unable to take his eyes off her, completely captivated by her beauty and grace, not hearing a word she said.
"Kiran, hello Kiran?" Gwen finally snapped him back into reality. Flustered, Kiran stammered, "Oh, sorry, you just look... I mean, you look good, I mean, better than good, you look great, I mean..." His words tumbled out nervously until Gwen gently placed her finger on his lips. "Thank you, Kiran," Gwen said with a smile. "You look great too. Now, shall we?" she asked as she wrapped her arm around his, leading him inside.
Down the street, the once serene neighborhood of Queens was now a chaotic battleground. The Enforcers, a notorious group of mercenaries, had arrived, causing havoc and destruction. The ground trembled as the Enforcers Ox, clad in a powerful black suit, effortlessly lifted cars and hurled them at their enemies.
Meanwhile, the skilled swordsman known as Swordsman swiftly moved through the chaos, his new gleaming swords slicing through anything in their path. The man with the double pistols, now known as SHOTGUN, unleashed a barrage of fiery bullets from his dual shotguns, causing explosions of flames wherever they landed. On a rooftop overlooking the chaos, the sniper named Jake Martino patiently waited for his target, Kiran, to make an appearance.
Back at the movies, eagerly waiting for the film to start, when Kiran's phone suddenly buzzed. "Oh sorry," Kiran apologized, pulling out his phone to check a notification from his homemade crime app. "What's wrong, Kiran?" Gwen inquired. "Those mercenaries I fought before are in downtown, calling themselves the Enforcer's. They're armed and dangerous," Kiran explained. "Go stop them and be careful," Gwen urged as Kiran hesitated to leave.
"I swear I'll be back," Kiran promised before darting out of the theater, rushing through an alley to change into his superhero costume. As he swung through the city, he could feel the tingling sensation in his head activating. Arriving at the scene of destruction, Kiran dodged sniper bullets in mid-air, skillfully landing on a street lamp. "So you changed your name and your gear. Was it for the ratings?" Kiran taunted as he dodged a car hurled at him, swiftly webbing it up. Engaging in combat with Swordsman, Kiran expertly dodged his attacks until Ox intervened, striking Kiran and sending him crashing into a payphone. "Ouch. Wish I had spare change to make a call," Kiran joked as he got back on his feet.
A/N. Next time Kiran's showdown between the Enforcers and finally to find his name.
