The south was divided into four kingdoms. The Romaria,Ruth,Silver and Duch. Many years passed by and the Romaria king Louise (IV) destroyed both the Silver and Duch kingdom. But when the king tried to destroy the Ruth,he suffered many casualties. The ruler of the Ruth was a Witch.
Defeating a kingdom with a Witch wasn't simple for the king. In the end,the king decided to send a peace negotiation. The ruler of Ruth accepted the negotiation and now both kingdoms are living happily.
"Mom,mom look it's candy."
"You have already eaten one. You are not getting another one."
The little boy looked at her mother with pitiful eyes. But the mother didn't soften with her son's mischievousness.
Today is the 6th birthday of the prince and the princess. The capital is bustling with people. The festival has been ongoing for more than a week now. Among the crowd and bustling,a girl in her twenties looked here and there around the stall. She is looking for something to eat. After a while she found a fruit stall. The owner was selling some fresh fruits.
"Miss,you look like you are new here."
Ruby looked at the fruit seller but didn't answer his question.
"I will take that as a yes. Those who are new around here are all very rude. They come to the capital who knows from where. If they are asked any questions,they get mad at us for no reason. You aren't one of them." said the fruitseller with dazzling eyes.
"Do you know any inn around here?"
"I know one. But it's very far from here." answered the fruitseller with suspicious eyes.
Ruby was indeed suspicious looking girl. She was wearing a hood which covered her hair and eyes. Her face also couldn't be seen properly.
"Thanks. Here is the money."
"Wait miss your change."
Ruby hurriedly left the stall. She didn't want to attract any more attention than she already had. After a while,she found a inn with a poor management. It wasn't even a inn but a shabby house. She went inside the inn and was greeted with a bright looking girl.
"Welcome,welcome."
"It is shabbier than my house."
"Sorry,we are short on money to renovate the inn." said the girl with a big smile.
"For two nights."
"Here is your key."
Ruby paid the bright girl and went up to her room just to be greeted with dustiness. Not only dust but there were spider and many other dangerous looking insects scattered around.
"You have already settled in?" the bright girl smiled.
Ruby was busy cleaning the floor. She didn't look up at the girl but only focused on cleaning.
"I am really sorry. You are cleaning my inn while you are a guest. Maybe i could sent some help for you?"
"I have cleaned my house everyday so it's not a big deal. But i suggest you renovate the inn." said Ruby while cleaning the floor.
"I don't have money."
Ruby sighed and tried to get the girl out of her room. But the girl was very obtrusive. She didn't want to leave the room rather tried to help Ruby by giving her a hand.
After a while,the inn looked very new. Ruby ended up cleaning the whole inn. She was looking for the young girl but was greeted with an old man.
"Oh dear,are you the one who cleaned my inn?"
Ruby nodded in agreement and asked him if he knew where the girl was.
"I do not know." the man looked nervous while answering her question.
"I didn't get to know her name. What is her name?"
"Sylph." the man looked at Ruby with suspicious eyes.
After eating dinner,Ruby decided to read some books to pass her time. Ruby wasn't born in the capital. She was born in a village called Salasa village. She lived with her mother untill her mother died of a contagious disease. She came to the capital for a reason.
Knock knock
A soft knock on the door startled Ruby. She opened the door to see who came, just to be greeted with Sylph again.
"I heard from the old man you were looking for me." said Sylph looking around to sit.
"I wanted to know if you can pay me?" Ruby looked nervous.
"Payment for cleaning?"
Ruby nodded.
"I never told you to clean." Sylph laughed as if she was enjoying Ruby's innocent reaction.
Ruby changed her tone to aggressive one, "Just give me some reasonable price."
"You are being greedy Ruby. I told you before i don't have any money."
Ruby didn't go any further. She knew she won't be getting anything from Sylph.
Sylph looked at the books scattered on the table, "You can read?"
"Can you not?"
"I can. But i am still learning." Sylph smiled again.
"I was surprised that you didn't get shocked after seeing my red hair and eyes."
Sylph taking one of the book, "There was nothing to say. Though people say red symbolise danger,i do not believe it."
Ruby however didn't felt relieved hearing that. She looked at the smiling Sylph who was busy with the book she was reading.

"You should stay here for one more night."
"I have important things to do. Let's not see each other again." Ruby bid goodbye to Sylph and the old man.
After walking for a while,Ruby finally arrived at her destination. It was the royal palace. Two masculine guards were guarding the royal gate.
"Excuse me,i have come to meet with the king." Ruby looked at one of the guard.
The guard inspected Ruby head to toe, "You can't meet with the king."
"Why?"
Other guard came near Ruby and pushed her, "Because you are a commoner. A commoner can't meet with our mighty ruler."
The first guard laughed, "John,can you believe nowadays even commoners want to meet with the king."
Ruby tried to calm herself by saying bad words in her mind.
"Still not leaving?"
"Here take this ring and tell your king someone wants to meet him."
"Where did you get it? Did you steal it?"
Ruby looked at the guard with rage, "Just give it to the king."
The guard went inside the meeting room where the king was having a council meeting. He gave the ring to the king's aide and whispered something in his ear. After a while,the king ended the meeting.
"What happened? What did the guard say?"
"A girl came and wanted to meet with you. She is a commoner. The guard tried to kick her out. But she gave this to the guard." Giving the ring to the king,the aide saw a shocking look on the king's face.
