As they dismounted their horses, Suzy looked around, taking in the sights and sounds of the orphanage. It was a beautiful place, surrounded by lush greenery and a babbling brook.
"This was my mother's life's work," Ryan said, his voice filled with pride. "She cared for the ostracized children, the homeless children, and the parentless children. This is a sanctuary for them."
Suzy's eyes filled with awe. She could see the love and compassion that Ryan had for these children. She knew that his mother must have been a truly remarkable woman.
"She must have been an amazing person," Suzy said, her voice filled with emotion.
Ryan nodded, his eyes filled with a mixture of sadness and pride. "She was," he replied. "She was the most selfless person I knew."
After a moment of silence, Ryan took Suzy's hand and led her towards the entrance. As they approached, they could hear the laughter and chatter of children playing in the courtyard.
