"Doris," Ryan said, his voice filled with determination. "I need your help."
Doris nodded.
"I'll send a letter to Lady Isabella," she said, her voice low. "I'll try to convince her to help. I'll tell her to say something about this situation and to meet us in town at Madame Helena's tomorrow. Then I'll tell Milady that Madame Helena has new outfits for her. I know she won't refuse."
Ryan smiled. "That's a good idea," he said, his voice filled with approval. "Go ahead and do it."
Doris nodded and left the room, her heart pounding in her chest. Ryan watched her go, a sense of hope filling his heart. He knew that this was a long shot, but it was the only chance he had.
He sat down at his desk, his mind racing. He had to come up with a plan, a way to make Isabella understand the gravity of the situation. He had to convince her to help him.
