Ryan sat at his desk, his mind racing. He had to uncover the truth about what had happened to Suzy, and he needed to do it quickly.
Turning to Davis, he issued a direct order, "Find out what happened at Count Edmund's manor during the Duchess's stay. Every detail must be reported no matter how insignificant it may seem."
Davis nodded, his face etched with determination. "I will, Your Grace."
Ryan continued, his voice low, "And find out who the duchess met at the Red Door. I want to know everything that transpired in that place, and the man that assaulted her.
"Consider it done, Your Grace," Davis replied, his tone resolute.
" Wait ," Ryan said as he had a rethink on his order. "Kill him. He dared lay a finger on my wife."
