Crystal's eyes fluttered open, the stark white ceiling of the hospital room coming into focus. She blinked, disoriented, as she became aware of movement nearby. Turning her head slightly, she saw Caleb and Norman pacing anxiously around the room.
Noticing she was awake, Caleb rushed to her side, gently helping her sit up. "Crystal, thank goodness you're awake. How are you feeling?"
Norman approached the bed, his face etched with concern. "You gave us quite a scare."
Crystal's mind was a whirlwind of confusion and half-formed memories. Tears welled up in her eyes as the weight of her discoveries came crashing back. "Caleb, Norman... I... I don't understand. Is it true? Are Shasha and Max really siblings? What's going on? What part of all this is actually true?" Her voice broke as she pleaded, "How much do you guys know?"
