Chapter 31 - Chapter 31: 31

Jasper's eyes snapped open, and he found himself back in his original body. He was no longer in the chaotic throne room of the miniature world but in his alchemy room. The familiar surroundings felt both comforting and disorienting. He blinked, trying to piece together what had just happened.

"Where the fuck am I?" he muttered, rubbing his temples.

As his vision cleared, he noticed Raven leaning in close, her lips just inches from his cheek. "What are you doing?" he barked, startling her.

Raven straightened up, blushing slightly. "Nothing," she replied quickly, stepping back. "You just looked like you were in a deep sleep, and I thought..."

Jasper waved her off, still trying to shake the remnants of the bizarre experience. "Thought what? That you could sneak a kiss while I was out? Jeez, Raven."

He took a moment to collect himself, running a hand through his hair. The memories of the past months as King Arthur came flooding back. The madness, the power, the rebellion—it was all a game. A twisted, vivid game. "Holy shit, what was that?" he exclaimed, half to himself.

Raven watched him with concern. "Are you okay, Jasper?"

Jasper laughed, a hollow sound. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just...a little disoriented." He glanced at her, noticing a familiar hunger stirring within him. "Ahh, I'm craving blood."

Without missing a beat, Raven tilted her head, exposing her neck. "You can take some if you need to."

Jasper rolled his eyes, a smirk tugging at his lips. "What are you doing? You already know I have a device for that."

Raven's eyes held a mix of determination and longing. "I don't like that device. It hurts. Use your teeth."

Jasper raised an eyebrow. "It even has a numbing effect. How does it hurt?"

"Shut up. I don't care," Raven snapped, her directness catching him off guard.

Jasper was surprised by her straightforward behavior but shrugged. "Alright, if that's what you want."

With a sigh, Jasper stepped closer, his hands gently resting on her shoulders. He leaned in, his lips brushing against her skin before his fangs pierced her neck. The warm, rich taste of her blood filled his mouth, and he drank deeply, feeling a rush of strength and vitality.

Raven gasped, her hands clutching his arms as he fed. The connection between them was intense, a mixture of pain and pleasure that left her breathless. Jasper, too, felt a surge of emotions, an unexpected depth to the act that went beyond mere sustenance.

When he finally pulled away, he licked the puncture wounds, sealing them with a whisper of magic. He looked at her, his eyes half-lidded and dazed. "Thank you," she murmured.

Jasper chuckled. "I should be the one thanking you. You're pretty tough for an elf."

Raven chuckled softly. "And for an archvampire, you're surprisingly gentle."

He stepped back, regaining his usual swagger. "Well, I guess we both have our surprises." He stretched, feeling the lingering effects of the blood. "By the way, how long were my eyes closed?"

Raven considered for a moment. "Around three or four minutes."

Jasper's eyes widened a bit. "So, a year in that world is almost equal to a minute in ours. Hmm, interesting."

As they settled into a more relaxed atmosphere, Jasper couldn't help but reflect on the strange journey he'd just experienced. The line between game and reality blurred in his mind, but one thing was clear: in this world, he was in control, and he intended to keep it that way.

Jasper looked down at the chessboard, noticing that everything had reset to the moment he first entered the game. The miniature figures were back in their initial positions, and the chaos he had created was gone. "So it works, every time a king dies, the world resets," he muttered to himself.

A thought crossed his mind. "Maybe I should turn them into vampires. Human will and desires are making me go crazy." He pondered the idea, weighing the pros and cons.

He reached up to the shelf and took a small pill, swallowing it quickly. The scar around his eyes disappeared, and he felt a strange relief wash over him. Jasper then started to rearrange the pieces on the chessboard, setting up a new scenario.

"I guess I'll not play that game for a while," he said to himself. He turned away from the chessboard, feeling a mixture of frustration and curiosity about the world he had created.

Raven watched him, sensing his inner turmoil. "What's on your mind, Jasper?"

He sighed, running a hand through his hair. "That game, that world—it's more intense than I expected. I need a break from it."

Raven nodded, understanding. "Maybe you should focus on something else for a while. You have plenty of projects and experiments to keep you busy."

Jasper chuckled, appreciating her support. "Yeah, you're right. There's always something to do." He walked over to his workbench, picking up a vial filled with a swirling, iridescent liquid. "This could be interesting," he said, holding it up to the light.

Raven leaned in, curious. "What is it?"

"It's a new alchemical formula I've been working on. It's supposed to enhance magical abilities temporarily," Jasper explained, a spark of excitement in his eyes. "Care to help me test it?"

Raven smiled, her eyes twinkling. "Of course. What do you need me to do?"

Jasper handed her the vial. "Just take a sip and see how it feels. I'll monitor your magical output and see if there are any changes."

Raven took the vial and hesitated for a moment before drinking a small amount of the liquid. Almost immediately, she felt a surge of energy coursing through her veins. Her eyes glowed with a vibrant light, and she could feel her magical abilities intensify.

"Wow," she breathed, feeling the power within her. "This is incredible."

Jasper watched her closely, taking notes. "How do you feel? Any side effects?"

Raven shook her head, a wide smile on her face. "No, it feels amazing. I can control my magic with so much more precision and strength."

Jasper watched Raven closely, still monitoring the effects of the liquid. When he saw how well it worked, he couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed. "First try? Damn, what am I gonna do for the rest of the day?" he muttered to himself.

Raven's eyes twinkled mischievously. "I can think of some games we can play."

Jasper raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What? did you find my games while I wasn't here?"

She shook her head, stepping closer. "No, but I think we can play some other game..." She took his hand and placed it on her breast, smiling slyly. "What do you say?"

Jasper smirked, clearly amused. "You're more straightforward than I thought."

"Maybe I am," she replied, her voice sultry and inviting.

Jasper hesitated for a moment, then pulled his hand away, his voice slightly trembling. "You know what, Raven? I'm actually feeling really tired. I think I need to sleep."

Raven looked puzzled. "Tired? You just sucked my blood you should be fine! and do vampires even need sleep?"

Jasper nodded, trying to sound convincing. "Of course we do. Sometimes we need rest, just like anyone else."

Raven pouted playfully but seemed to understand. "Fine, but you owe me."

he was patting her shoulder and said. "S-sure, I'll make it up to you, I promise."

Raven rolled her eyes, but she couldn't hide her smile. "You better."

As Jasper went to his coffin and began to rest his eyes, he thought, 'Why are these women getting so bold towards me? I wonder if I'm starting to lose my intimidating aura...'
