"What do you mean there's been a change of plans?" Iza asked the bodyguard, her heart pounding in her chest, though not as loudly as Erika's when she heard the bodyguard's words. It was a nightmare she wanted to wake up from as quickly as possible. It was so terrible that she didn't want to live through this again.
"I haven't the foggiest. I was simply sent to relay the message, and that's what I've done. The priest will be here within the hour, and the boss is due to arrive at that time as well. I'd wager that should give you ample time to get her prepped for the ceremony," the bodyguard spat out, clearly irritated by the maid's hastily asked and, in his view, inappropriate question. It seemed as if she didn't agree with the change of plans. "There will be three bodyguards guarding this door, so see to it that she doesn't try any tricks," he trailed off, indicating that the maid should infer the rest on her own.
