Ruby raised her eyebrows, crossing her arms. "Sneaking? I was just curious. If I were a thief, do you think I'd be standing here in plain sight?"
The assistant hesitated, clearly unsure of how to respond. The commotion inside the tent continued, but now Ruby's attention was focused on this unexpected interruption.
Before she could say anything else, a shadow appeared at the tent's entrance. A long-haired witch stepped out with a few people, her sharp eyes looking around carefully.
"What's happening here?" she asked, her voice cold and full of anger.
"Ma'am, ma'am! This unknown witch was roaming around your tent! She might be a thief!" the young assistant exclaimed, pointing at Ruby with a trembling finger.
