Chapter 67 - Chapter 67

In the short and narrow corridor, four people were in a frantic chase.

The person at the front was panicking and constantly muttering things like "Are you really a mad dog who won't stop chasing people?" The one with the spear right behind him was gritting his teeth in fury, determined to take down the person ahead of him.

Lancer easily dodged the attacks from Shirou behind him, not caring about them at all, and was solely focused on teaching the boy in front of him a lesson.

"Master! Don't get in the way! Let me handle this!"

Saber shouted from the back, but Shirou didn't make way. He kept chasing Lancer, hoping to save Shinji with his own strength.

The narrow corridor couldn't accommodate three armed individuals, resulting in a rather comical scene of four people chasing each other.

Mainly, it was because Shinji was incredibly agile, narrowly avoiding each attack from behind.

"Your luck is really something, kid!"

Lancer's face was livid with rage, veins popping out. To Lancer, Shinji was merely lucky.

Just like the last strike where he aimed at Shinji's back, but Shinji suddenly stopped to steady a vase on a nearby table, causing Lancer's attack to miss.

Rubbing his head, Shinji apologized, "Sorry, Emiya, I almost broke the vase."

"Is this really the time to worry about that?! Watch out!"

"Whoa!!"

Ducking just in time, Shinji avoided another horizontal swipe, the spear tip grazing his hair!

Crash!

Seeing the shattered vase on the ground, Shinji got up and dashed toward the entrance, shouting back, "Emiya! The broken vase isn't my fault! You saw that, right?"

"I said this isn't the time to worry about such trivial things!" Shirou charged forward again, hoping to block Lancer with the iron pipe in his hand.

Seeing Shinji stop in front of the closed door, Lancer's face twisted into a sinister smile.

"This time, stay down and die, kid!"

Lancer thrust his spear again, but Shinji did something unexpected. Instead of opening the door and running out, he turned around and ran back!

This unexpected move caused Lancer's strike to miss again.

Seeing Shinji slip past him again and head back, Lancer grew even more furious.

Shirou was stunned but didn't have time to ponder.

"Run!"

As Shinji passed by Shirou, his shout brought Shirou back to his senses. Without thinking, he turned around.

Thud!

"Ah!"

Unlike Shinji, who escaped through a gap, Shirou, in his panic, collided with Saber, causing both of them to fall to the ground!

Staring at Saber's delicate and beautiful face just a few centimeters away, Shirou was momentarily dazed. Especially when their eyes met, he even forgot what he wanted to do.

"Sorry..." Shirou averted his gaze, his face red with embarrassment, "Uh, um…"

"Just call me Saber, Master." Saber spoke.

Shirou scratched his cheek awkwardly, his eyes darting around.

"I'm Shirou… Shirou Emiya."

"Emiya?" Saber seemed to realize something.

"This place... no, wait," Shirou scratched his head, unsure of what to say.

Hearing the conversation behind him, Shinji really wanted to remind them that someone was still being chased.

At this point, Lancer re-materialized and closed in on Shinji. It was only then that Shirou finally snapped back to reality and scrambled to his feet.

"Crap! Shinji!"

"Leave it to me, Shirou!" Saber stood up, but before she could follow, Shirou rushed ahead, chasing Lancer who had disappeared around the corner!

To Shirou, although he didn't understand why this girl was fighting that blue-haired guy or what he had gotten himself into,

She's a delicate girl!

How could he let a girl be in danger?

Absolutely not!

Seeing Shinji about to reach the broken glass door, Lancer's lips curled into a smile.

Once they were outside in the open, he could finish this brat in an instant!

The corridor was too narrow, limiting his movements. Coupled with the boy's luck, it might take some effort, but out in the open…

One moment was all he needed!

With that thought, Lancer stopped and thrust his spear with all his might, not to kill Shinji but to force him outside.

However, perhaps due to his luck, things didn't go as Lancer planned.

Seeing Shinji turn around and dodge under his arm again, Lancer was beyond enraged!

"Are you a fox, kid?!"

Cursing, Lancer turned around and chased again.

"Shinji!" Seeing Shinji running toward him unscathed, Shirou was overjoyed.

"What are you standing around for? Run, Emiya!" As he passed by Shirou, Shinji shouted another reminder.

"Oh, right!"

This time, Shirou didn't hesitate and sprinted after Shinji.

Filled with adrenaline, Shirou couldn't help but recall when they were chased by upperclassmen in middle school!

Back then, under Shinji's guidance, they had always managed to outsmart the upperclassmen and escape safely.

But this time...

Thud!

Seeing Shirou, distracted and unable to mimic his sidestepping maneuver, collide with Saber again, Shinji's eye twitched.

Only a protagonist could do this!

Fighting and flirting simultaneously!

No matter what, he never dies!

So envious!

Seeing Lancer leap over the two and charge at him, Shinji wanted to complain, asking why Lancer was only targeting him.

Didn't he see those two who had already fallen?

And it's the second time!

Are you blind?

"Hmph, this ends now."

In the Emiya family's front yard, Lancer materialized in front of Shinji.

Shinji stared in disbelief at the spear piercing his chest, the red spreading across his clothes...

"Shinji…" Shirou's eyes widened in shock.

At this moment, Saber saw an opening and charged, sword in hand.

Clang!

Lancer pulled his spear from Shinji's chest to block Saber's attack, retreating several steps.

"Seriously, I eliminated a witness for you, and you don't even thank me. Fine, fine, I'll retreat now. Wasn't it your order to eliminate witnesses?"

With that, Lancer leaped away, disappearing quickly. Saber wanted to pursue but felt her wound ache.

Moreover, her Master seemed to be in a strange state…
