Chapter 17:
The next morning, Eun Won was sore all over. She had a fever the whole night and didn't sleep well. She decided that this was the day that she would tell Yu-Jun that she was the really Eun Won. She was anxious about telling him. She took a warm bath and got dressed in a light green dress with the help of Na-Ri. The door opened, and in came a servant from the kitchen. She placed the food on the small round table near the door and left. Today's meals were sweet chicken, rice, and steambuns. Na-Ri brought over the food one by one, and both of them started eating. She was still bedridden because of her back wounds. When they were done eating, the servant took the dishes back to the kitchen. Eun Won decided to read and expand her knowledge about the royal palace. She spent most of her day until the afternoon reading and drinking tea. She was so focused on the stories of the palace that she didn't notice that the door opened and someone walked in.
"What are you reading?" asked a voice. "I'm reading about the royal palace." said Eun Won. "Do you enjoy it?" said the voice. "Yes, I find it interesting," she said, looking up. Her eyes went wide as Yu-Jun stood right in front of her. His facial expression was different from the cold and anger look. He had a soft expression and a slight smile on his face. Eun was shocked by his expression because she didn't understand why he was acting differently. He took a seat next to her on the bed.
"You may leave," Yu-Jun's said towards Na-Ri. "How are you feeling?" asked Yu-Jun. "I'm fine," said Eun Won. "I can clearly see you're not," said Yu-Jun. "Let help you put on some healing cream," said Yu-Jun. Eun Won just nodded and obeyed what he said. The sores on her back were still fresh, but it started to heal slowly.
Eun Won took her chance and told him. "I'm Eun Won that you have been looking for. We met at the market, and I took you to a place, and we started to get to know each other. At the time, I didn't know that you were a prince, and I later found out that you were the emperor." Yu-Jun's took in what she said and realised that she was the girl from all those years ago. He couldn't believe that she was right in front of everyone noses. He finally found her, his first true love. He was overjoyed. They spent the whole afternoon until night talking to each other. They had finally found one another. They spent their days getting to know each other, and Yu-Jun had one thought in mind. He wanted to ask Eun Won to marry him. So he did.
