Chapter 70 - Despicable Eric

The tight-fitting suit was indeed very sexy, but it seemed a bit difficult to put on. Catwoman struggled for quite some time before barely managing to wear it.

The upper body part, in particular, was too prominent to easily fit into the suit.

With the intention of being helpful, Eric stepped forward, intending to help her with the zipper.

Thinking she had an opportunity, Catwoman seized the moment to kick towards Eric's crotch.

Easily dodged by Eric, her missed attack was followed by a swift punch from her right hand towards Eric's face, which he intercepted, grabbing her hands and controlling her.

In a last-ditch effort, she tried to bite Eric's nose but ended up with their mouths meeting.

They ended up kissing directly.

The kiss lasted until Catwoman almost suffocated, and then they separated.

Catwoman, her face flushed, took a few minutes to react.

Weakly pulling the zipper on her chest, she wrapped her entire body in the suit.

After putting on the tight-fitting suit, Catwoman gritted her teeth and looked at Eric, "So... you bastard, are you satisfied now?"

"More or less," Eric turned and walked out, "You can use this room for now. Those guys won't dare to check here. You should be able to hold out until tonight, then use the cover of darkness to escape."

"Ugh"

Watching Eric's departing back, Catwoman's expression kept changing, uncertain whether to thank him or curse him.

While intensely curious about his identity, she also felt a surge of anger.

As night fell, Catwoman left Gotham Hotel under the cover of darkness and headed to her residence.

After carefully checking her surroundings and confirming that her room was empty, she opened the door and entered.

After exhaling a long breath, she leaned against the door, took a deep breath with her eyes closed for a moment, and then headed to the bathroom.

Standing in front of the bathroom mirror, she began to take off her tight-fitting suit.

As she pulled down the suit, her skin was revealed.

Seeing the marks left on her snow-white skin, she couldn't help but cover her forehead, gritting her teeth and cursing angrily, "That bastard!"

Her skin was imprinted with certain words.

The letters formed words that were imprinted on her chest, back, thighs, and other parts of her body, with the black font standing out starkly.

It was clear that the tight-fitting suit had been tampered with!

"Homelander? What does this mean?"

Looking at the words all over her body, her eyebrows furrowed, "Is this his name?"

Although she couldn't wash off the marks on her body for now, Catwoman still scrubbed vigorously.

After taking a shower, she put on another Catwoman tight-fitting suit and headed to Gotham Orphanage.

For a place like Gotham Orphanage, which was essentially old wine in a new bottle, she had spent many years there, experiencing mostly nightmares and helplessness.

After sneaking into a room, she woke up a red-haired girl in bed.

"Happy birthday, Holly!"

Catwoman hugged the little red-haired girl.

"This is your gift."

She took out a silver coin from her pocket and handed it to Holly, "It's small, but it can give you great courage."

It was a silver coin she had swiped from Eric's wallet.

Following her code of never leaving empty-handed, even though Eric had taken back his wallet, she had used her "superior" skills to steal a silver coin.

"Thank you, Sister Selina."

Holly happily took the silver coin and observed it in the moonlight.

The owl engraved on the coin's front appeared vividly before her eyes.

"An owl coin?"

Holly tilted her head and said to Catwoman, "I think I've seen it before."

"You've seen it?"

Catwoman's heart skipped a beat.

"Yeah, I haven't seen it, but I've heard about it."

Holly then recounted the scene she had witnessed recently in an alley, where Batman was fighting someone she referred to as the "umbrella man."

Someone who could easily defeat Batman!

Looking at the owl coin in her hand, Catwoman fell into deep thought.

Could it be that the "umbrella man" Holly mentioned was the same bastard who had watched her change clothes?

Now that she thought about it, she did recall seeing a black long-handled umbrella in his room, which resembled the Penguin's.

Was he planning something against Batman?

At Iceberg Lounge, an auction banquet was taking place.

Amid the clinking of glasses, officials and dignitaries mingled, chatting about topics of mutual interest.

Bruce Wayne was conversing with a newly acquainted friend, "Yes, I know March Ventures, the East Coast Leslie Medical Satellite Institution is under his control, isn't it?"

At this moment, Bruce was not Batman but the well-known playboy and entrepreneur of Gotham City.

"Mr. Wayne."

As they talked, Bruce was interrupted by a voice.

Turning his head, he saw Penguin approaching him.

"Let me introduce you, this is Eric Kent."

Following Penguin's introduction, Bruce turned his gaze towards Eric.

Eric nodded slightly at Bruce, greeting him, "Hello, Mr. Wayne."

Bruce, scrutinizing Eric's face, felt a strange familiarity.

"Bruce Wayne, pleased to meet you."

Bruce shook hands with Eric.

The moment they came close, he suddenly realized that the chin and familiar voice belonged to the mysterious man with the umbrella he had encountered in the alley that night!

Confirming Eric's identity, his alertness soared.

But he quickly calmed down.

Even if the other party was an enemy, he wouldn't make a move now.

"Mr. Wayne, what are your thoughts on Gotham?"

Eric obviously guessed what Bruce was thinking.

He had revealed his identity at the banquet on purpose.

In Gotham, he didn't plan to remain perpetually masked.

"Me? Thoughts? What is Gotham, a home or hometown, I can't accurately describe, but I believe it is a place constantly moving towards a better tomorrow, don't you think?"

Knowing Eric's dangerous identity, Bruce remained vigilant while feigning indifference.

"Sounds reasonable."

Eric nodded, about to say more when a striking figure caught his eye.

In a black evening dress, covering every inch of skin, even her legs in stockings, Catwoman Selina entered the auction banquet.

Originally, seeing Bruce Wayne made Catwoman happy, but noticing Eric standing next to him startled her.

She never expected that after leaving the orphanage to attend a routine banquet, where she planned to swipe some valuables from dignitaries, she would encounter two familiar faces.

Especially the one who had stamped marks on her body!

Having learned from Holly that Eric could easily defeat Batman (Bruce), her impression of him became complex.

Taking a deep breath and intending to slip away quietly, she was called out by Eric.

"Miss Selina, we meet again."

"What do you want? Planning to capture and humiliate me again?"

The thought of the marks he had left on her made Catwoman grit her teeth.

"No, I happen to need a female companion, and I'm sure you wouldn't mind."

Eric extended his hand, signaling Catwoman to take his arm.

After glancing awkwardly at Bruce, Catwoman reluctantly took Eric's arm, intimidated by his "coercion."

Using his super vision to observe Catwoman and Batman's subtle expressions, Eric made a rough guess.

Batman had just become Gotham's knight, and his romance with Catwoman had yet to officially begin.

He was very interested in seeing Batman embarrassed and humbled.

Bruce was about to warn Catwoman about Eric's dangerous identity when Penguin stood on the stage, announcing that he had acquired a batch of jewels and artifacts, which were now up for auction.

Upon seeing a crystal owl statue among Penguin's displays, Bruce forgot about Catwoman and focused entirely on the items bearing the owl insignia.
