Before Eric could respond, the woman climbed in through the window.
"Thank you, I ran into a bit of trouble. Maybe it was a careless plumber or a problem with the elevator repairman. Anyway, I need to go through your room to get upstairs. You don't mind, do you?"
The woman, having jumped from the window to the ground, dusted off her hands and spoke to Eric.
"What if I do mind?"
Eric had a guess about the woman's identity—Batman's rumored girlfriend, Catwoman Selina Kyle. A notorious thief targeting jewels, antiques, and other art pieces, she was as sexy as a cat but also cunning, ruthless, independent, and unreliable.
Given his strong interest in her identity, Eric decided to play along.
"You seem like a thief who's rushed in here. Generally, I don't have much patience for thieves."
Eric calmly observed her and slowly spoke.
"A thief? I don't think of myself as a thief."
Catwoman pulled off the white scarf from her chest and collar and dumped some items from her backpack. "I'm just a raven seeking balance in life."
Putting on her orange goggles and fastening a rope to her waist, she continued, "Ravens find shiny things and stash them in their nests."
After arranging her gear, Catwoman smiled at Eric. "I decorate my nest with fancy things like a raven. Once these shiny things are in my pocket, I feel safe or balanced."
Although Eric's aura made her feel uneasy, she didn't think much of it, assuming he was just a regular hotel guest.
She walked over and touched Eric's chest, "Thanks for your hospitality. You're a generous guy. Maybe next time, your reward will be upgraded."
With that, she turned to leave.
But as she reached the door, there was a sudden, urgent knock.
"Looks like your enemy is here."
Eric, standing behind her, stretched and lazily said, "Although ravens hide shiny objects in their nests, they must beware of the birds lurking behind."
He walked towards the door, ready to open it.
Seeing Eric's movement, Catwoman was startled. She quickly jumped to the windowsill, ready to flee.
However, to her surprise, Eric opened the door, said two sentences, and the person who had come to chase her away left.
"Who exactly are you?"
After Eric closed the door, Catwoman, like a cautious cat, jumped down from the windowsill and suspiciously asked Eric.
"Shouldn't you introduce yourself before asking about someone else, Miss Raven?"
One second, Eric was by the door, and the next, he was suddenly in front of her.
His seemingly teleporting movement made Catwoman jump back in shock.
She immediately took out the grappling hook from her waist and swung it at Eric.
"Are you a cop?!"
Her tone lost its previous composure and allure, now showing the irritation of a troubled young woman.
Eric grabbed the rope mid-air and gently pulled, drawing Catwoman toward him.
Dazed from the collision with Eric's chest, she barely reacted before feeling his hand at her waist.
When she came to, she saw her wallet in Eric's hand.
Eric looked at his wallet in her hand and feigned disappointment, "You really are a thief!"
"Who are you, really? A cop or one of the Earl's men?!"
Catwoman warily eyed Eric, trying to break free from his grip, but his hands were like pincers, holding her firmly.
"Haven't you heard the saying? Curiosity killed the cat."
Eric released her, "And since you stole my wallet just now, I think... you need to pay a little price."
As soon as she tried to catch her breath, the rope gun's line moved, binding her before she could struggle.
Faced with Eric's inexplicable behavior, a wave of fear surged within Catwoman.
She felt that this time, she might not get away as easily as usual.
"So... will you tell me your name now, Miss Raven?"
Eric, satisfied with her tied-up state, asked.
"Selina Kyle."
Catwoman exhaled, looking at her bound hands, "So, you're a magician?"
"Something like that."
Eric, eyeing Catwoman's curvaceous figure, asked, "Continuing our question, Miss Selina, where do you live now?"
"What do you want?"
Catwoman took a step back, "You think I'm working with a gang and want to catch my accomplices? I'm sure now, you're a cop with some magic tricks and ill intentions!"
Despite wanting to maintain her defiant demeanor, Catwoman eventually gave her address under Eric's "intimidation."
With her address known, Eric nodded, closed the door, and left.
Before Catwoman could recover from her confusion, Eric returned a few minutes later.
This time, he held a black leather catsuit.
Seeing the sleek, sexy outfit in Eric's hands, Catwoman was dumbfounded.
Isn't that her Catwoman uniform?
How did he get it?
Did he ask for her address just to fetch this suit?
But how was that possible?
He couldn't have been that fast, nor could he have known she was Catwoman!
"This is your uniform, right?"
Eric, his mischievous nature emerging, untied her and handed over the tight leather outfit.
"If you want to avoid the pursuit of raptors, you must transform from a raven into a cat. Am I right, Catwoman?"
Eric's smile widened as he spoke.
Seeing his smug face, Catwoman realized this guy definitely knew her identity!
And he was a total jerk!
He just wanted to see her change clothes, didn't he?
Though she wanted to kick him, she knew there was a strength gap and reluctantly complied.
Gritting her teeth, she took off her black maid outfit, revealing her fair skin.
Her body, with its perfect curves like a supermodel's, matched the golden ratio.
Especially her long legs, surpassing even those of famous models.
With only her black underwear on, her shapely, uncovered chest was almost too much for her bra to conceal, showing quite a bit of skin.
Though it started as a joke, Eric couldn't help but glance at the revealing scene.
