"Hello! Dad, it's Eric."
"Eric, how's it going in Gotham lately? I saw the weather forecast, it's been raining continuously for the past few days, and the air quality isn't great with the humidity. You need to take care."
At Kent Farm, Jonathan instructed Eric.
"I know, Dad. Everything is fine here. How's the farm?"
Jonathan hesitated and glanced at his wife standing nearby. "Everything is good here. Your mother wants to have a word with you."
Handing the phone to Martha, Jonathan sighed and sat down on a chair.
After chatting with Eric for a while, Martha hung up the phone, returned to her husband's side, and held his hand. "We will find Clark."
"This isn't like last time when Clark ran away from home to avoid the uncomfortable silence."
Jonathan showed a helpless expression. "This time, it seems his rebelliousness has magnified countless times."
"Do you think it's right not to tell Eric about Clark?"
Martha was silent for a moment before saying, "If there's anyone in this town who can find Clark, it's Eric. And if something happens to Clark, only Eric can handle it."
"That would make things even harder to resolve, Martha."
Jonathan gently patted his wife's hand. "Tomorrow, I'll go to the school. Maybe I'll find Clark there."
"Hopefully."
Martha nodded, but the worry on her face did not fade.
The next morning.
Jonathan parked his pickup truck at the school gate, rolled down the window, and looked at the students coming and going, hoping to find Clark.
After waiting for half an hour, he heard a familiar motorcycle roar.
Looking back, he saw Clark riding towards the school gate with a girl dressed in a rebellious punk style.
After stopping the motorcycle, Clark took off his sunglasses and said goodbye to the girl, just in time to meet Chloe, Pete, and Lana.
"Wow!"
Chloe exclaimed exaggeratedly upon seeing this scene. "The shy and withdrawn Clark is gone, and here comes the passionate Clark who knows how to please girls."
Clark hung the helmet on the handlebar, his mouth slightly upturned. "I just gave her a ride to school. If you want, Chloe, I can give you a ride too."
Chloe was stunned, then exchanged a glance with Lana.
Although she had some special feelings for Clark, she didn't want it to happen like this.
After glancing at Clark, she awkwardly turned around and left.
Lana quickly followed her.
"Wow, Clark Kent has become quite the charmer. So, what's going on?"
"People change, Pete!"
Clark put on his sunglasses and shrugged at him.
Bang!
The car door closed, and Jonathan got out of the truck, walking towards Clark.
"Clark, we need to talk."
Clark glanced at his father and rubbed the ruby ring on his hand. "Not now, Dad."
"What?"
"I said, not now."
With that, he ignored Jonathan and walked straight into the school.
Jonathan's anger surged. He grabbed Clark's leather jacket. "I said, get in the car!"
"Give me a good reason why I should."
"Because I'm your father. Now, get in the car!"
Jonathan looked into Clark's eyes and said each word firmly.
"No! You're not my father!"
Clark seemed fed up with his father's persistence. He slapped his father on the chest, pushing him away.
Bang!
Though it seemed like a casual push, Clark's hand caused a powerful impact, sending Jonathan flying.
He crashed into the pickup truck's bed, making a loud bang.
"Ugh!"
Jonathan groaned in pain, clutching his chest. He leaned against the truck bed, slowly sliding down.
Seeing his father being pushed and crashing into the truck, Clark froze for a moment, then his expression turned colder. He turned and walked into the school.
Pete couldn't stand it anymore. He glared at the departing Clark and then went over to help Jonathan.
"Are you okay, Mr. Kent?"
In the school hallway, Clark encountered Ms. Aikins, the biology teacher, who was organizing her things in front of the locker.
"Hey! Ms. Aikins!"
Clark greeted her. "Ms. Aikins, your outfit today is a departure from your usual style, but I must say, it suits you very well. You look stunning."
Ms. Aikins was wearing a wavy, ruffled light green Bohemian dress, significantly increasing her attractiveness.
"Bohemian symbolizes wandering, freedom, and a carefree attitude."
Ms. Aikins turned to face Clark, who was leaning against the locker with a smile.
"With a weary but beautiful appearance, a melancholic yet romantic vibe, and being poor yet stylish, these Bohemian traits suit me well, so you're right."
Ms. Aikins exuded an allure that captivated high schoolers' hormones. She smiled at Clark. "Do you know why I look weary, Clark?"
"Maybe you need a place to release your negative emotions."
Clark took a step closer to Ms. Aikins. "I know a bar that's lively and adrenaline-pumping, with wild music and thrilling lights. It might help you shake off the weariness and gloom, and regain a good mood. Bohemian, Butterfly Print, Finnity, you can choose any beauty you want."
"No!"
Ms. Aikins raised a finger, stopping Clark from approaching her.
"Because I'm missing my date, Eric Kent. You know, we once went on a date. The experience he gave me was 'tingly,' 'slightly painful,' with a rapid heartbeat, a mix of fear and anticipation. I'm insanely addicted to that feeling!"
With a gentle push of her finger, she moved Clark away from her.
"Surprised? I know you're Eric's brother, but you're completely different. I don't sense the charm that mesmerizes me from you. Clark, I know about your recent outrageous behavior."
Ignoring Clark's increasingly grim face, Ms. Aikins continued, "But whether you're quietly obedient or pretending to be arrogant and reckless, you'll never surpass your brother. So, you won't ever charm me. If you want to date me, it will never happen."
After giving Clark a piece of her mind, Ms. Aikins turned and left.
She left behind her shapely back, and Clark clenched his fists.
I'm not as good as Eric?!
This thought echoed in his mind, spiraling repeatedly.
Bang!
He punched the locker, denting the metal and making a loud noise.
The students passing by were startled by him.
"Then just wait and see!"
