The black box.
It was an object that had been mysterious and an object of scrutiny ever since he became aware of it.
This was the only part of his status screen that differed from the norm in the world.
It didn't say who had gifted it to him, but he did have a few guesses.
Though it was best not to jump to conclusions.
Even in the past, he had tried to click on it or think about it, but strangely enough, after just a few moments, he would find his mind trailing off to something else.
It was quite peculiar and strange about why or how it was happening.
But he could never focus on it, no matter how hard he tried.
That is, until now.
After his admittedly slightly cringeworthy speech, a voice whispered in his ears about the unlocked state of the box.
It must be noted that the voice didn't belong to the tower; it was a lot different from the tower's usual stoic or occasional condescending tone.
