Chapter (16):the fake factory part 1
At a certain place in the Forest of Faces, Emma and Smiley were standing in the distance, staring at a certain place
"Is that the place?" Emma asked
"Yes! That's the last place I remember!" Smiley replied excitedly
"Are you sure about that because the place looks... kind of..."
"Peaceful?" Smiley interrupted her
"No, too quiet."
The place they were staring at was an abandoned factory. There was an iron fence around the factory with barbed wire, but the strangest thing was that there were a large number of crows surrounding the factory
"This place doesn't make me feel good for some reason." Emma spoke as she looked around the place
"Hey Emma, look at the positive side at least the crows aren't monsters."
"Yes, you're right... at least we'll get some rest, but there's something that worries me." Emma spoke with some concern
"What is it?" Smiley asked
"The number of crows is very large and they surround the factory in a circle and they don't try to get any closer as if... they're afraid of Something" Emma spoke trying to understand the situation
"Smiley, let's not try to enter this factory no matter what" Emma spoke
"What? Why?" Smiley asked
"I have a bad, really bad feeling about the factory like it's staring at us" Emma replied
"Seriously Emma! It's just a factory not alive, I mean there are monsters yes, but no building monsters, I think" Smiley spoke
"That's a bad joke Smiley, really bad" Emma spoke staring at the factory
"Hey! I'm trying to get better" Smiley spoke
"So, for another question, why are you so excited to enter?" Emma asked
"Hmm? What do you mean?" Smiley spoke ignorantly
"You're trying to get me to come in even though you said you buried the weapons outside the factory, did you see anything there?" Emma spoke with some seriousness
"Let's just say I have a feeling that something fun will happen if we go in" Smiley replied
"Which is another reason not to go there"
"Oh come on! emma! What a spoiler for fun, I mean isn't that what any kid normally does when they see a place like this? They go in and take risks and for the fear and excitement!"
"After all, we live in the moment and there is no life without excitement and passion" he said as he walked in another direction
Emma remembered that she also did something similar before the incident happened. She entered a horror hotel to entertain them and remembered how scary and fun it was with her old friends.
Emma remembered those beautiful, irreplaceable days. Emma started to smile a small smile before it turned into a frown, because of the fact that they left her and never talked to them again. She looked at Smiley's high head and looked back at the factory. She let out a heavy sigh.
"Damn my shock" Emma thought as she silently slapped her forehead. "You always remind me of you at the strangest times."
"I guess we should just search for weapons around the forest and come back" Smiley spoke as he frowned and bent down to play with one of the tree branches near him.
"Let's go in" Emma spoke with determination.
"What" Smiley asked strangely as he smiled. Maliciously while breaking the tree branch.
"I said let's go in, as you said it's just a factory, and nothing will happen" Emma spoke as she slowly headed towards the factory.
"This is the spirit!" Smiley spoke He got up and accompanied Emma to the factory.
When they entered the factory, the first thing they saw was a wide, silent space, with many different and strange machines of all sizes and shapes, and there were still some cars that were still being manufactured.
Smiley and Emma were walking around the place, looking carefully at all those strange machines.
"This is strange, the factory seems old.... very old, as if it was from the nineties."Emma spoke as she looked around the place.
"Hmm? It doesn't look different to me, how do you know it's old?"smiley ask
"All the machines, even the cars, are all rusty, as if this place has been around for decades or has been exposed to some substance that made it rust quickly."Emma replied
"Hmmmmm~Emma, you seem to know almost everything, are you a professor? Or scientist"smiley asked
"Pfft.... professor? really smiley? I haven't even reached high school yet for you to say such things to me."Emma spoke sarcastically.
"So were you a nerd or did you have a goal, did you aspire to become something?" Smiley asked as he looked at Emma intently as they walked.
"What do you mean?" Emma asked as she stared at him angrily, her steps becoming a little slower than Smiley's.
"Seriously Emma! Don't act angry! I'm just asking, or is it something sensitive that you don't want to say?" Smiley asked as he narrowed his eyes at Emma.
"What? No! Of course not! It's just..... Ugh....." Emma stopped talking to Smiley and started looking at her feet as she was deeply thinking about something.
"Hmm? What's wrong? Don't say it if you don't want to, we all have our own secrets." Smiley spoke.
"Astronaut..." Emma mumbled.
"What?" Smiley asked.
"My dream was to become an astronaut." Emma spoke in a clear voice as she looked at the ceiling of the factory.
"Hahaha..... Astronaut?! Really, Emma, of all things, you're going to be an astronaut? "Do you want to go to the moon?" Smiley asked mocking Emma
"Yes... That was my dream before" Emma spoke
Smiley's face now: ಠಿ_ಠ
"When I was little I always stared at the moon and wished to go there so... I studied, trained, slept, trained, studied and even went to spend dozens of hours on YouTube watching videos about astronauts and their trips to the moon, I did all of this to go there"
"Everyone in my class made fun of me, even my parents thought I couldn't, everyone was belittling me, until the opportunity came"
"There was a project among the students to make a rocket to fly in the sky and some people from a certain space agency would watch it and evaluate the rockets that would be launched into the sky"
"When my rocket that I made flew, and it soared high in the sky, I felt like I was inside it until it exploded after it flew high, and they gave me a plane and praised me They said that one day I would become an astronaut... but that wasn't the real prize for me"
"The real prize was the looks around me changed, they started looking at me not as a stupid dreamer but as a genius girl, and this was the best moment of my life...."
"But when they heard what I did in the supermarket, they took the prize from me because of rumors that I was a murderer and a serial killer, and here we are"
"What a funny joke, isn't it? How did I get like this, just because of one bad day?" Emma spoke, signs of sadness and regret evident on her face
"You're right, it's a really funny joke... (Smiley mumbles: And painful like me)" Smiley spoke while muttering and without smiling this time
"What?" Emma asked
"Look, it's another door! We might find something useful!" Smiley spoke as he headed towards the door and tried to change the subject of the conversation
Smiley pushed the door open and entered a room that looked like a rest room
"Strange, this place is much bigger than it looks at first" Smiley spoke while Staring at the spacious lunchroom
"You're right, that's really weird. They were in the middle of eating and apparently left their food in a hurry...." Emma spoke as she stared at the spoiled food
"They probably left their food because their break time was over." Smiley spoke
"No...there are over 10 tables with food that hasn't been eaten or touched yet, as if something happened here... hm?" Emma spoke until she noticed that she stepped on something
"Is that a card?" Emma asked
"Albert Cassidy...three star worker? What does that mean?" Emma asked strangely
"I think she ranked him. Maybe it's their way of ranking their most efficient employees like the heroes in the games when they level up." Smiley spoke as he stared at Emma
"You're right, but why did he leave his card here in particular?" Emma asked
"Maybe the broken door will tell us" Smiley spoke
"The door of what?" Emma asked
Emma looked Towards what Smiley meant and saw a huge steel door broken and strangely curved and the passage through it was completely dark
Emma looked in amazement at the door how it was broken and went to know how it became like this
"Wow, what a big door! It's at least four meters long and made of solid steel? What could have broken it?" Emma asked as she analyzed the door markings
"Isn't it clear that it's definitely the scorpion we faced last time?" Smiley spoke
"No, Smiley... This is not his doing, the markings on the door are fists, whoever bent and broke the door like this is a being that looks like a human or is close to it... And from the markings and shape of his hand, he has four... fingers" Emma answered as she analyzed the situation
"And it seems that he's still inside" Emma spoke as she watched the dark passage and began to feel that she was being watched
"Let's go in then!" Smiley spoke happily as he entered the dark passage
"Smiley, no!" Emma spoke and grabbed Smiley's arm and pulled it.
"Come on Emma! Don't you want me to know what monster is here?" Smiley asked as Emma tried to pull him back
"Absolutely no! Last time we fought one, he almost killed us multiple times and I don't have time to face another one" Emma spoke insistently as she pulled him harder
"Oh come on Emma! Just a little glimpse" Smiley asked
"No!" Emma shouted angrily
"Okay! Okay! I'm not going in but we'll go in the other rooms" Smiley spoke
"As long as it's not about the damn dark corridor then yes" Emma spoke
"Yes, mom" Smiley spoke sarcastically
"Don't call me that" Emma replied
"Okay! Then let's split up and come here" Smiley spoke as he headed to the room
"Wait a minute Smiley! "Parting here...and here he is gone, huh then I have to go to the other room"
Emma went to the other room and saw that it was a room with many strange and small machines and there were many strange drawings and diagrams on the wall
"Hmm? What are all these things? These are not for cars but... for people? I would say strange if it weren't for the fact that I am not in a normal forest"
"And what is this thing? It seems to be something for a watch but what is its function?"
Emma held something in her hand that was a device placed on the arm but she did not know what it was but when she placed it on her arm suddenly a small spark occurred and it tried to connect to her arm
"What the hell is this? Ughhhh! How do I make it come out!.....(pressed something specific)... Oh did it work!"
But when Emma pressed a small disc when she pressed it the device glowed red and sent a strange feeling around Emma's arm
"What is this now? I don't know what this is but I just want one thing..Get this damn device out of my arm!!! Are there no instructions here?....."
Emma looked around the schematics and books lying around the floor to see what this device was
"MFH version 2.4.1? A hook that works at will? What the hell is meaning? How do I get it to come out?"
As Emma was wondering angrily and trying to fiddle with the device in some way, a small hook suddenly came out attached to a small rope which was thousands of thin wires tied together and when the hook hit the wall it held tight and wouldn't budge
"Oh crap! It's gotten worse! How do I get it to come back! There are no da*n buttons except for this one but it doesn't do any good no matter how much I press it!"
"Get back to the device you stupid rope!"
Suddenly the hook moved and went straight back to the device but took a large piece of stone from the wall with it as it went back to the device
"Holly Sh*t"
Emma quickly ducked and avoided the stone and the rope twisted strangely to come back and the stone chased her and she moved her hands and instinctively protected her face, when she did this the rope moved and the stone changed direction and hit the ceiling and Emma's arm was stuck in the air as all this happened
"Damn! Get out! What's wrong with this device!? How did it fire when I wasn't pressing it a moment ago?! Is there a certain way to fire it and pull it weirdly?"
"Ooock.. Just please get back!..(Click: Let go of the stone).. Ah..... Sh*t wait..... It's back to the device but most importantly"
What the fu** was that?!"
At that moment Emma knew this place wasn't just a factory.
