Chapter 1 - Prologue: Dying is painful

What's the first thing that comes to your mind when I say the word 'good ' ?

Your parents ?

helping someone in need ?

Eating ?

Cherishing quality moments with the people you love ?

You know what's common in all these . These are the things that makes you happy or one can say it gives you a positive feeling.

But what if someone says " they like bullying others" or "they takes pleasure in seeing others suffer", for them these things makes them feel good. They feel positive about what they are doing. So, why are these things considered bad?

Because it's not their feeling but their actions that make them bad. They often fail to recognize the consequences of their actions.

But Shouldn't we also consider the impact on their feelings? They are doing this because that makes them feel good.

How can you differentiate between good and bad? The answer is you can't. One way or another, what you think is good for you will be bad for someone.

Why not prioritize doing things that truly make you happy?

"Hm..." a voice murmured from behind.

I turned around, and since I was in the lower realm, it was quite dark. A dark shadow loomed, seemingly from the upper realm, wearing a huge sinister grin.

No! Not again... Why do I keep bumping into higher demons?

"...need something?" I inquired

"Let's see... how about bowing down and begging for your life," said the demon, still grinning.

"If I do that, will you let me go?" I asked, already knowing the outcome.

"Perhaps it all comes down to luck, but the odds aren't in your favour."

This is why I dislike my kind. What should I do now? Should I run or engage in a fight? Since she's from a higher realm, running isn't an option, and confronting her would only make things worse.

I don't feel like fighting either. Maybe I should try to talk my way out of this... Nah, then let's get it over with.

"You don't want to fight? Hmph...I expected more resistance. I never thought my instincts would fail me like that. Then again, you are not emitting any dark energy." She looked at me with disappointment, as if she expected more.

It's your fault for expecting something from a lower demon. Also, my built is unique.

"Sorry for not meeting your expectations. Can you make it qu—"

To my left, a jagged jet of blood that she had control over shot through me, splitting me in two.

This hurts!...

I retract my statement; you should not kill simply because you enjoy it. However, unlike the human realm, there are no rules here. The demon realm is hierarchical, and powerful demons can do whatever they want.

"You are here in pieces, and your face remains expressionless, sigh, do not make this any more boring than it already is."

Those were the final few words I heard.

No matter how many times this happens, my body can never gets used to it. My body started shutting down, and my vision is becoming blurry. It feel as though was floating. So, then, this is the end.
