Raymond stared at Mei Li for a few minutes before he stood up. "Well, I understand your desperation. But unlike you, I am not desperate. I will become president at the cost of your life."
He chuckled and winked at her. "But your daughter, she will always be mine."
Mei Li clenched her fist as she watched him leave. She had begged him, but he refused. At least she tried; now she had to take her daughter back by asking the one person she knows is capable.
Then she sent a message and leaned back. "Such a heartless man."
It was after thirty minutes that a man walked in. He smiled at Mei Li and said, "You called for me."
"What took you so long?" She frowned, and Seb snorted lightly.
"I went to see Grace."
"Did you see her?" she asked, and Seb shook his head in the negative. Grace wasn't at her place, so he assumed she was with Raymond.
