***The Upper sector of the Outskirts of 'Eclipse of the Ocean', Chingford's Academy..
The next morning had Navi gets up feeling a little better than last night. He's a little sore all over but the screams of pains from his body has quiet down more than a little bit.
He performed his usual morning routines. Waking up early, getting washed up and a having bland meal at the cafeteria with Nutrient packs to go.
But he can't stress much today so he takes up medication class as one if his normal lessons today. Due to him registering almost in the middle of their three months for martial team, his first holiday comes in the next month.
The only two new things that's going to happen this month for him is that by the end if the month he gets his weapon choice from the Academy as well as the death duel he definitely plans to attend and so Navi lives through the next days with nothing but chill.
***Seven days later..
Navi rises up early today like any other day with the only difference being that today, Navi has something to truly watch out for.
The death duel.
He doesn't know why but he's very excited by the idea of watching this happen. He still doesn't know the exact reason for this duel and honestly he doesn't care much as he's just thirsty for some action.
He prayed to the world for some sort as thrill to push him forward and although not what he has expected this is better than nothing or atleast this is what Navi thinks to himself not knowing the chains of events that will soon come storming at him.
The duel isn't until sharp afternoon so Navi has time to spare for one three hour meditation normal lesson. Learning to meditate is proving harder for him than most others.
It's difficult to clear his mind without sleep and even with sleep, a part of his mind never seems to truly quiet down. His first trails were complete failures but under the guidance of the masters, he's getting a little closer and closer to finally making silence the only thing on his mind.
He feels like if he can fully meditate his thoughts then he would be able to fully sense the world for what it is, he feels like he would be able to touch the energy form called mana.
Meditation class happens outside of halls only after you have passed the most basic levels and you are training to meditate even with distractions. For beginners like Navi, Meditation takes place in a soundproof hall.
Navi trails his way to the meditation hall where he alongside others go through the normal lesson under the guidance of the masters. Just like that, meditation comes and goes as Navi waits patiently for the event.
Afraid of lack of seats as the duelling centre is designed to take in only four hundred students when the academy currently has six hundred disciples, Navi goes in thirty minutes early.
The duelling Centre just as he had expected is below ground level with stairs like seat in a circular fashion. Actual stairs runs down the duel centre for easy movement and as expected, the seats were already filling up a the campus gets more empty.
Navi moves down the walking stairs and sits as close to the level of the duelling ground as he can. He's surrounded by other talking disciples and the burning sun made sure the area smells exactly like sweat and dirt.
Navi patiently waits on the death duel as the seats gets filled up even more and more and before he knows it, someone comes to sit by the last empty seat by his side.
He doesn't care enough to pay any attention but he soon hears his name from a female voice.
"Hi Navi..", The voice greets as its owner sits by his side.
Navi turns his head calmly with a bit of confusion in his eyes. Apart from his once in a while encounter with his room-mates and the masters, he doesn't think anyone else knows him enough to call his name so fondly.
He looks at her face trying to recall where he've seen her before. Curly Copper brown hair tied into a very messy bun as a result of work out, light blue eyes in doe shapes and blush-like light freckles over her nose and under her eyes with the perfect smile for a bridge.
In her female martial robes with overlapping neck collars, anyone would admit that she's a stunner, a bunny-like poison to any male's mind but Navi just can't recall where he has met her before.
Seeing Navi's quiet confusion, the girl gets a little flustered and shows to him that she blushes easy due to the light shade of pink appearing on her cheek.
"A.. at the cafeteria one week ago, you told me your name is Navi", The young lady explains while Navi slowly nods as he finally remembers her.
At the cafeteria, one week ago on the evening after his last 'dream therapy'. A lady had addressed him as kid and he had told her his name.
"Greetings Senior..", Navi greets politely while hoping the conversation would die off there and then as he turns his gaze away from her calmly.
"My name is Amado Yuxi..", The girl replies sounding as little smug for some reason in an almost 'I got you back' manner.
Navi looks at her a little confused but he just politely nods three times in response yet somehow his calm reaction made her blush deeper from embarrassment.
There is silence for a while with Navi staring at the sandy duelling grounds calmly and Yuxi trying to get over her unreasonable embarrassment.
"Are you sure you can handle the duel?, there might be blood and someone would die today..", Amado Yuxi asks with a bit of concern in her tone.
Navi looks at her then he blinks twice in confusion as to why she thinks he cannot handle a bit if blood and death and then realisation strikes him.
It must be because if his age immature figure but in all facts and truth, He have seen much worse than whatever is about to happen. The first scene he saw of his alternate self(Ikita Shi) shows a white tiled room used as a brutal slaughter house for dozens of people.
The smell of the blood, the iron in the air, the stains on the walls, the red pools in the ground, the limbs around with some still twitching as they lost life, the heads with expression still on them, the screams of terror as they lost and begged for life and fought a losing match against death and the episode of cold darkness and silence in the room before the lights come on to show the figures of death and suffering painted boldly across the room.
Nah.. there's no way whatever is going to happen here would be worse than even a single thing in that dream.
With this believe in mind Navi says calmly as he looks at Yuxi, "I can handle it..".
For some reason, Yuxi still seemed worried about everything but she keeps her silence as she watches Navi calmly turn his gaze back to the arena.
