Di Tian's last strike cut through Dark Di Tian's guard, forcing him back. The shadows around Dark Di Tian flickered, as if the power he drew from was starting to weaken. But his face was still twisted in defiance.
"You think this is victory, Di Tian?" he sneered, gripping his sword tightly. "This battle is just a glimpse of what you really have to face."
Dark Di Tian thrust his hand into the air, sending a wave of energy toward Di Tian and Kong Mei. Di Tian raised his blade to block, holding his ground even as the force crackled around them. The energy dissipated, but the twisted smile remained on Dark Di Tian's face, as if he had won in some hidden way.
The vision around them began to shift again, the flames dying down as they were transported back into the stone chamber. The crystal was still there, resting silently on the altar as if nothing had happened. Di Tian let out a slow breath, steadying himself as he realized they had returned.
