It stood on four legs, the back two being slightly shorter than the front two, with a slightly hunched back. It's paws was like a lions, but its claws were at least five inches long as they showed, and they were also extremely thick and serrated, like they were meant for shredding and tearing.
The way the beast voluntarily showed itself baffled Horo.
Beast usually would resort to sneak attacks even if they were much more powerful than their prey, but this beast presented a level of confidence and pride that exceeded the natural habits of a beast.
What made him more surprised was its level, it was only tear one, but when he scrutinized its appearance and looked into its eyes he knew it was unusually special.
When the beast and Horo locked eyes, they both instantly stalled, as if they were bewitched.
Horo being from earth and having lived in the world of cultivation saw many constellations and nebula. He's experienced some up close and personal, and others as images or through super advanced technology.
Yet when he looked in the eyes of this beast, he felt as if they contained a whole universe and all of the stars it could house. They made him feel they insignificant, like a dying star in a never ending void.
He could also see some intelligence within its gaze.
The beast on the other hand felt two different feelings as it looked into Horo's eyes. His right eye, still being the same as his original lightless eyes, made the beast feel like it was looking into a singularity that could swallow everything. It thought if it continued to look at that eye the little consciousness it did have would be sucked into an abyss.
His left eye, was mutated in the womb when some of the treasured bath liquid was able to pierce the amniotic sac which was fused with a veil of negative energy, only temporarily. It was all absorbed directly into his left eye due to the location it pierced the sac.
Himora has special eyes from the same treasured baths their mother used to survive, but unlike Himora who would have had normal eyes like any other baby, Horo had special eyes to begin with. So when that meager amount of liquid was absorbed into his left eye it didn't form a clear glass eye, which was much more powerful, it formed an [Obsidian Eye].
It gave Horo the ability to see any negative intentions or emotion of any living being, as long as their strength didn't surpass its capabilities by a large margin. It could also reflect said negative state upon them, and force them to show the emotions or intention.
It made the beast feel that he knew what it thought. It wanted to toy with Horo, and learned more before devouring him.
After the effect of his left eye kicked in, it made the beast feisty as it began to make a tumultuous noise.
The noise made him snap out of his daze, and before Horo could think of anything else regarding the beast it dashed toward him.
It didn't move faster than him at all, but it seemed to flicker in and out of existence.
When it was only two meters away it disappeared as space rippled where it last was, and the same instant he felt something trying to crush his black light on his back, as it also pushed him forward with a strong charge.
He immediately used a powerful elbow and a strange twist of his body to land a crushing blow on the beast. His movement was so swift and unexpected it made the beast wince in pain and release its jaws from his black light covered back while it jumped far back from him.
It shook slightly as if it was shrugging off the pain. It then stared at Horo with its head tilted to the side, as if it was trying to figure something out.
Horo was abnormally strong for someone on his level, especially his physical body, and his black light being part of his physical body was nearly undamaged.
He felt some strange force held within that attack trying to shred his protection, and nearly would have succeeded if his battle awareness wasn't off the charts.
Horo was also guessing skill that beast had that gave it that strange movement ability. It was similar to the void stepper technique he was trying to comprehend, but he has no luck with it.
When he had that thought he immediately got a bright idea that made him want to subdue this beast instead of killing it.
He smiled as he began to release an affinity he gained by luck, [Murderous Fever], regardless of his plans. This was to used his second gear of black light.
He wasn't going to play around with a beast that potentially had an affinity with space.
He was covered by a sleek pseudo transparent black armor, that had a menacing demon face with scarlet eyes on its front torso portion.
Little did Horo know, his actions gave the slightly intelligent beast an idea.
Horo moved with shadow steps and was upon the beast in a blink, the punch that he threw was just as fast, but the beast disappeared quicker than he could land it.
And then… Horo heard a ripping sound the same instant.
