After experiencing the bright light, everything dulled down, the first thing Horo seen was the face of a middle aged lady who was looking at him as if she was extremely perplexed.
He attempted to turn his head to check out his surroundings just to notice that he couldn't maneuver his head as he wished to. Next he tried to speak but realized he couldn't do that either, he began to wonder what was the issue when he noticed a small hand in front of him, two small hands to be exact. He was astonished to see two baby hands and that's when everything hit him, he began to recall the last memories he had before drifting in darkness for what seemed like eons.
First he recalled the soul tearing pain, the spiritual pressure and the torture, and then his entire past life began to play in reverse inside his mind. As this was happening it felt as if he was reliving it all, and he tried his best to control his soul fluctuations and his emotions because he knew it was multiple people present in the room as he could hear them and he didn't know if they had the powers and senses to notice the changes in his soul.
After experiencing the memories of his past life it made him wonder about something, the soul module and the last notifications he heard, just as he thought of it…
"Soul Module Initiating..."
"Soul module evolving due to fusing with your origin"
"Integrating origin of Azure Moon"
"Soul module evolving due to integrating origin of another world"
"Upgraded Soul Module Stablizing"
Just as the last notification rang in his mind, he heard his name being said with another name similar to his by a man with a voice that seemed to be in pain.
Hearing his name he began to laugh instinctively, he figured that he must've have been named the same name after being reborn into this world which is a crazy coincidence. Although he wondered why, the voice seemed to be in emotional pain, he also guessed it must be his father saying his name. He wondered why it wasn't his mother naming him but after listening to the whole conversation he was shook to find the answer, she died due giving birth to him and his sister.
He was surprised to hear he had a twin sister, but he also felt a sense of pain hearing he lost his mother. He never knew what it felt like to have a mother due to his mother in his past life dying from giving birth to him as well, actually he didn't know what it felt like to have a family at all because he was raised in silence.
After thinking over all of those things I then had a thought, how can he understand what they are saying while he was just a baby while they were also speaking in a language he never heard before, but before he could make any guesses his module surprisingly informed him proactively which is something it didn't used to be able to do.
"Host is Able to understand all common languages due to the upgraded automatic translation function."
Being quick witted as usual he immediately caught on to the two changes in his soul module and he thought to himself "I'm already liking this upgraded version of the soul module, I wonder what else it is capable of. Hmm, I guess for now I'll check my status"
