The technological developments in this era were very progressive as well, as humankind has made great leaps in internstellar travel to the extent they can comfortably travel to stellar bodies in our solar system.
Humans have started colonizing mars after finding there was no current civilizations on mars due to what seem to be devastating past wars. After years of exploration and excavation of the planet the humans learned and discorded a lot about the Martians and their history. They found that the martians mastered the art of war to a degree far beyond humankind and most of their technological advancements were related to warfare, this was why they hadn't traveled beyond their atmosphere, it is also the same reason they went extinct with no known survivors. They used unorthodox weaponry, their armor were equipped with technological enhancement and assistance functions, and they also used special arts called inscribing and alchemy.
All martians had a genetic skill termed transmutation, which was extremely compatible with alchemy because it could change energy to physical matter and vice versa.
Most importantly martians believed that all things had spirits, and that names held meaning and power. They had the ability to name the spirits of all things and grant the spirit strength which in turn would strengthen whatever was being named.
Humans extracted as much as they can from the Martian civilizations and culture which helped them advance. some picked up the arts of alchemy and inscriptions, as well as the study of the spirit of all things and naming; some began creating special unique weaponry, and one extremely intelligent researcher was able to turn the genetic material of the martians acquired from fossils into an extremely special spell, the transmutation spell, but this was kept a secret by her.
The most important creation made after the acquisition and incorporation of a whole different civilization, was the Soul Module.
Every newborn after the year 2148 was implanted with extremely advanced processing chips, the Soul module. It allowed humans to have faster thinking capabilities, the ability to split the mind/focus, have parallel thoughts, scan and analyze objects, perfect memory and most importantly interact with the soul.

An intercontinental organization was created in order to keep stability in the new world, named the Paranormal Control Organization (PCO). Their main duties is to Investigate and resolve any paranormal or supernatural related activities that could threaten society or civilians. That was only on the surface, as every major country had their own department of the PCO, some countries exploit the organization in order to gain more world dominance and authority through relics or paranormal abilities.
