Leon's mind spiraled deeper. 'If her ice affinity is so powerful that it merges with her very being, it's not just an element she controls—it's part of who she is. And if she can't control it, it means there's something more profound and possibly darker at play here. What kind of past or threat is linked to this power?'
As he processed all this, his anger towards the Viscount intensified. 'How could he let Amelia face such a dangerous path without proper guidance or knowledge? She's been left to fend for herself against an uncontrollable force within her. This isn't just about elemental affinity—it's about her safety, her future, her very life.'
But Leon knew anger wouldn't solve anything right now. He needed answers and he needed them fast. 'I have to get the Viscount to explain everything. There's no time for subtlety or decorum. Amelia's life is at stake, and I won't let her suffer because of someone else's secrets and mistakes.'
As he looked back at the Viscount and his butler, Leon's resolve hardened. 'I need to know everything about Amelia's condition and how to help her. If the Viscount knows something, he must share it now. There's no room for pride or hesitation. For Amelia's sake, I have to be relentless and unforgiving in getting the truth.'
Leon took a deep breath, ready to demand the answers he needed. 'No matter what it takes, I will protect Amelia and uncover the truth. This is my promise to her, and I won't let anyone stand in the way.'
Leon wanted to ask, but with the urgency of the situation, he might worsen things further by asking questions.
Meanwhile, The Viscount's eyes, wide with panic, locked onto Leon's. "Where is she?" he demanded, his voice urgent.
"In her chambers," Leon replied, his voice steady despite the turmoil inside him. "The ice essence is out of control. It's creating a blizzard, and she's struggling to contain it."
The Viscount turned to his butler, his expression hardening. "Prepare the array stones. We need to make sure things don't get out of control."
The butler nodded, hurrying out of the room to make the necessary arrangements. The Viscount then focused on Leon, his face a mixture of worry and determination. "Tell me exactly what happened. How did it start?"
Leon quickly recounted the events, from the moment Amelia's ice essence began to surge uncontrollably to the increasing intensity of the blizzard forming around her. The Viscount listened intently, his face growing grimmer with each detail.
"I can't believe it will come to this, after the raging frost during her birth, I prepared for this, but I hoped never to use the array stones, I sent her to the Glacial Frost Lotus Sect for this reason because it's much safer for her here than here, but now, it has come to this, if this continues, things might turn out really bad" the viscount said in sober after absorbing the information.
Meanwhile, Leon remembered something Jake had once told him about a book where the system helped the main character, Sung Jin-Woo, cure his mother's illness. He clung to the hope that his system could do the same for Amelia.
'System, do you have the capability of curing Amelia of this...illness, whatever it is?' Leon asked silently, desperation tinging his thoughts.
The system responded promptly. [Firstly, Leon, Amelia is not ill. This is who she is. If this were some kind of illness or whatever you think it is, then a simple healing potion would cure it. But this problem is originating from her physique, the very part of her being that I hinted at earlier.]
'Her Physique?' Leon asked, his brows furrowed.
[Yes, her Physique. Amelia has the Frost Heart Physique, a yin and frost-related physique that has two stages. The first stage is called the Immunity Stage and the second stage is called the Ice Sovereign Stage. Amelia is currently at the second stage.]
'These stages... can you explain them? I'm not understanding a single thing,' Leon asked as he and the Viscount sprinted towards Amelia's chambers.
[The first stage is simple. At this stage, her heart is that of frost, and it grants her many powers that are hard to notice.
Frost Immunity: At this stage, Amelia is immune to cold and frost-based attacks or environments, able to survive and thrive in extremely cold conditions that would be lethal to others.
Emotional Numbing: Besides being unable to fall in love, Amelia finds it difficult to experience or express strong emotions. This could make her seem aloof, distant, or even unfeeling to others. You were able to break through this barrier. Your charm aura made it easier for her to express emotions, and your words during your intimate moment triggered something deep inside her, causing her to truly fall for you. This is when she broke into the second and most powerful stage of her Physique.
Cold-Blooded Healing: Her wounds heal faster in cold environments, utilizing the Yin essence in the air and the frost essence. The cold itself seems to knit her wounds together and numb the pain. Additionally, her skin becomes tougher, at least tougher than those in the same realm of cultivation as her.
To advance her physique, she must break her Frost Heart to achieve ice element manipulation. There are two ways to achieve the breakthrough needed. The first way is to get triggered emotionally, which means either falling in love or experiencing a heart-shaking emotional heartbreak. The second way to break the Frost Heart is to go through a life-and-death situation. However, after the breakthrough, her already high yin and frost essence accumulate and grow even higher, causing the manipulation granted by her Physique to go wild.]
