Cassian stopped at his writing. His delicate finger slowly placed the ink pen beside the mountainous pile of paperwork. While his back, upright, slowly retreated as it leaned against the back post of his chair.
"Ha…" he sighed, his eyes peering against the paperwork once before making its way to Hubert, "I suppose the time is near,"
Hubert looked with a slight smile and curled up brows that couldn't hide the feelings he had for more. This whole journey started as a mere mission from the church, but turned into a big ordeal that would give him all he ever wanted.
Maybe, just maybe, after this and the graduation, he could have returned to the north and taken all the revenge he so wished for.
"Be my guest for today and stay here, I'll send a message tomorrow morning regarding my father's decision on this matter," Cassian said, before supporting himself up from his chair.
