Verona knew the moment she opened her eyes, that she was back in that dreadful castle that held all of those memories. She hadn't really been awake a few minutes before her head swooned and she leaned down beside the bed, covering the floor with the watery contents of her stomach. It came again, three more times, the one after even more wrenching than the former.
"Look at her go, what a mess" a bile filled voice hissed from somewhere in the room. A voice that undoubtedly belonged to Gaiza, the maid.
"Hush child, don't make her stomach worse" another familiar voice also spoke in reprimand of the girl. It was mother Yaya, still as old and very much alive.
There were a few snickers in the room, which told her she wasn't alone. Her eyes adjusted to the harsh bright light hanging above, and took in the humble appearance of the room.
