Since Sam along with his assistant had already eaten at the mall, the food Sam bought was just for his Nancy, the maid. As for the security guards, well, they ate their own food. They got paid a lot so food was not a problem at all to them. And the best thing about their jobs is that they work in shifts, there were others who would come to work during the day and others would come at night. But as for his personal guards, those vowed to take care of him so they had no breaks, well, they did sometimes, only when he just leaves without informing them.
The moment Sam and Given walked in the house they were met by Nancy who was very shocked after seeing Given's state, she then asked her boss why the young man was in that state and Sam told her that Given got attacked but he was a bit fine now. And then she went on to finish her chores before she would eat the food she was given. And then that's when Given told Sam that he needed help in taking a bath because he couldn't stand up straight. Yep, Sam didn't think if that the moment he said he would look after Given until he recovered, there was no way his maid agree to that, so Sam pushed Given's wheelchair to his own room when he assisted in taking off his clothes.
Well he actually did all the work because Given was just waiting there and singing the word ouch. As Given was done undressing him, he now had to carry him to the bath tub and began to bathe him. If you ask me, this was not the job he ever thought he would be doing but there he was, bathing someone for no payment.
Sam's POV
As you already know, I now had a new occupation, I was now giving my assistant a free bath. Well, I really couldn't complain because he was in that state because if me so I just had to help him or else he would be feeling bad for himself. After a few minutes I was done helping him with his bath and then I carried him out of the bath, dried him and when I was done I helped him wear his new clothes that we just got from the mall. I really felt like a big brother looking out for my baby brother. If only I had siblings , I know I would treat them just line that. Since I was done, I just let him rest on my bed because I had no strength left to be carrying him around. There was no way that his wheelchair would walk up and down the stairs, so I just had to leave him in my room.
Well, he seemed very tired because the exact moment I tucked him in my bed, he just fell asleep. Maybe he was in pain but just wouldn't say it. I then went in to take my own bath and as I was done, I wore my pyjamas and went to say goodnight to aunty and then I went to my room, yep, that's when I realised that I forgot Given in my bed. And believe me, dragging him around would just be troubling him so I just got in bed and joined him. It was my first time sharing a bed with someone else so it kinda felt weird even though he was not troubling me at all. It's just that, he kept on mumbling juring the night, and this didn't allow me to sleep. He just kept on turning and I could see tears flowing in his eyes and that's when I realised that he was in pain.
I went to my medical kid and looked for painkillers and then went to the kitchen to get him water and then I went back to the room and then I woke him up. That wasn't a problem because he was already awake, you can't be in pain and asleep in the same time. I then gave him the medicine and then I asked him what happened and he told me that he couldn't sleep. Well, I really didn't know what to do so I asked him what would help him sleep and he said he wanted to go downstairs, the living room and watch movies on the couch, in that way he would fall asleep. Anything for my assistant people, even though I was already tired, I still gave in and carried him downstairs, and now I had to join him because there was no way he would be there all by himself.
We watched one movie, and before I was even over, he fell asleep so I went to the guest room and took a blanket and I covered him with it. It was better for him to sleep on the couch than to be carried again, the carrying was also contributing to the pain if you ask me. As I was watching him I got a call from Harry, I guess I wasn't the only one unable to fall asleep.
At that moment
Sam- Hello my friend, are you not asleep?
Harry- Not at all man, I'm just thinking here,
Sam- And you need me to help you think?
Harry -Of course,
Sam- What's going on?
Harry- My husband just said he wanted a baby,
Sam- Oh, he wants to get pregnant, I see,
Harry- Stop playing man, he wants to adopt,
Sam- I think he is a bit young for that , don't you think?
Harry- I do, but he seemed very serious about it,
Sam- I forgot that you are scared of him, he didn't even graduate yet , you guys should just wait for a few more years , it's your time to enjoy yourselves,not getting stressed by kids running around
Harry- I hear you father, I won't argue with someone who has a kid man,
Sam- That one is better, my assistant is the new kid, since he is hurt, I've got to look after him. "
Said Sam as he began to complain about Given to Harry. These two were real friends indeed. They kept talking until they both fell asleep. Well ever since that day Sam developed a special spot in his hear for his assistant, nothing much, nothing romantic, he just felt like protecting him was his first priority. Not to forget that they were still going on about their fake relations which were literally working. Well, since they were making a lot of public appearances quite a lot together, people began to ship them. It kept going for weeks and finally the time for the fashion show arrived . Well, ever since that scandal, many retraced from going but those who didn't, were looking forward to it.
And as for Sam, he was the first to wake up in the house, as for Given, well he was still his assistant so we might just say that he had two jobs now. One was to act and the other was to be an assistant. Sam went on to take a shower and then he wore his very best outfit, and as he was done he went to check out on his assistant, and he found him still snoring, he went on to wake him and finally Given woke up and he ran to the bathroom while Sam went downstairs and that's when he heard cars outside, well, since he was hosting one of the biggest shows in the city, news reports were on his door, and he was already used to it by now. They were just waiting for him to step out and then they would be ready with their cameras.
After a few minutes, Given was ready and he came downstairs and found Sam already done having breakfast meaning that he was supposed to leave on an empty stomach. It was his fault so he wouldn't blame anyone. As they were set to walk outside, Sam's guards led the way, and before they walked out Sam told Given that he would find him something to eat before the show began because he was not going to be able to eat during the show and then they walked out.
Immediately as they walked out, cameras were on and the news reporters were on it.
At that moment
The reporter- Um, Mr Sam, it's very good to see you again,
Sam- I am very glad to hear that ma'am,
The reporter- How do you feel since you are hosting yet another show sir, I've heard that many people are no longer attending it ,
Sam- I do not know about that, all I know is that tonight will be a good day, my designs will be showcased and that's all.
The reporter- Before we close our chat sir, may we know why your assistant woke up in your house today,
Sam- That's really none of anyone's business but just so you know, he is my partner, thank you so much, I need to get to the show.
Said Sam as he took Given's hand and took him to his car, and one of his guards drove the car. That was such a great act. The reporter was left there dumbfounded, but the news were finally out, even May was shocked to find out. She never thought Sam would end up being with the boy, or even end up yelling people about it but there he was, announcing that he was indeed in a relationship with his assistant on the news.
Moving on, after an hour of driving , Sam along with Given arrived at their work place. Well, if you didn't know, that place was massive hence he didn't bother having to find a place for his shows, and also, not everyone attended the shows. I say this in a good way, only business owners, people that owned clothing brands, so it wasn't supposed to be a large hall for thousands of people to gather. Only hundreds. As they arrived, the two got out of the car and walked in. Well, many people were already in the building, not to forget many more reporters, I would say many people had a lot to talk about that day.
Since Sam announced that he was in a relationship with his assistant on the day of the show , people were still trying to let it all in. And as for Sam, he seemed satisfied with what he had accomplished do far. He walked in to the hall with Given, and then told him that he had to accompany him to the stage in order to welcome the guests. Atleast he didn't have to say anything , did he.
At that moment
Sam- Um, ladies and gentleman, welcome back to yet another fabulous showcase of good stuff,(he made it sound like a joke hence everyone broke in to laughter). I just want to say I am very grateful to all of you who managed to make it here,I know a lot has happened in the last few weeks, but here we are today, so I just want to tell you how grateful I am because you people did not leave me when others were turning their bags on me.
And to clear the misunderstandings, the man standing besides me is indeed my partner, I just didn't want to get it all out there because I value my privacy but I didn't know how it would affect others around m. So I just want to say I am sorry and do enjoy the show. "
Said Sam and then he gave Given the microphone telling him to greet the people, well, poor Given was unprepared so he just said hi and they both left the stage and the show started. It wasn't to last for many hours but Sam still gained a lot from it. Let's not forget that his parents were there, so his father was actually convinced that Sam was indeed in a relationship with the boy so he wanted to know who, where the boy was from so that he could build a bond with his family, and trust me when I say Given wasn't waiting for that.
