Chapter 23 - Paladin Xin 2

They surrounded Joan with all their numbers and were infuriated as he killed their brethren.

The other bandits made him preoccupied and so the others were heading to the village.

"Men! Let's kill that bastard. Who does he thinks he is!?" shouted their leader that has a skull helm with deer horns.

They laughed as they dashed towards Xin.

Xin easily eliminated the others who were only numbered three.

He was chasing the remaining bandits who were planning to attack the village proper.

Xin jumped at them and slashed his wooden sword to the ground. Upon his attempt, he successfully triggered the earth element. Making the dirt to throw all over the place.

The Earth Element made the sword increase its weight to a ton and making it harder.

Some of the enemies were struck with the dirt and suffered damage.

They encircled their enemy and Xin emerged from the dust. Without wasting their precious time, he slashed the nearest from him.

Fire explosion burst from the sword as he hits it to his enemy's axe. Making him thrown on the process.

Others attempted to hit him on his head with their weapons but his body was unscathed and unaffected.

Only making his clothes torn on the process.

They were struck with disbelief as their weapons were sharp and can cut any flesh but he was just smiling at them like a madman.

"Huh? Why can't we kill him? Is he immortal? All men kill him! Somebody kill him!" Shouted their infuriated leader.

Xin let out a sigh as his Paladin's buff was so overpowered. It only made Xin to be flung here and there but was unscathed as he watched them.

Xin laughed at them without reserve. Further looking at them and dashed towards them. Some of them jolted as they were struck with dread.

They were in disarray and so Xin didn't waste the tides turning in his favor.

He slashed the one who wanted to escape and the Wind element triggered on the process. Producing wind that can cut metal. If their armor was hard enough, then they will be safe.

Sadly, they only have leather armor with them that came from the hide of animals. The enemy that was struck was split into half and he was screaming until blood spurted out of his body.

Others now regretted what they have done but it was too late for them to beg for mercy. Their lives were not even enough to pay for the wheat field's damage. Which was beyond salvage.

Xin can only smirk while having a face of a mad man. Striking another one with his wooden weapon. Further making them feel dread as he was laughing wildly as he struck them.

As the weapon hits the enemy on his axe, and Electric element was triggered. Bolts of Electric was produced from his weapon. Scattering all over the place and struck others.

Making them pass out when struck and others were paralyzed by the bolt. The one who was struck by his sword was toasted on the process.

"Throw your axes!" Their leader shouted and so their spirits were boosted up.

Dispelling the fear they felt for that moment and so they heeded his command.

They threw their axes and Xin was struck on his back. Three axes landed on his back and three were on his chest.

They felt so accomplished when they succeeded in dealing with damage to him.

"Hahaha! Where is your confidence now? Huh?" The leader shouted in mock.

Xin smirked and laughed again. It was louder this time around for them to hear.

He shakes his body and the axes fell of his body. Making his clothes tattered on the process.

"Hahaha! Shall I let you feel how disgusted I am right now? You are so disgusting! Insects!" Xin stared at them and dashed towards them.

He went to the remaining others and slashed them with his sword. That sword was just an ordinary wooden sword that can't even cut flesh but it was buffed by Xin's Paladin skill.

The one he struck first was slowed and frozen. Signifying that the Ice Element was triggered.

Others were slashed with his sword and were poisoned. The Poison element was triggered this time around and they soon dropped to the ground as their mouth foamed on the process.

Xin saw the leader and he dashed towards him. Slashing him but he blocked it with his two-handed axe.

To his surprise, the Earth element was triggered and soon, the weight of the sword became a ton and the sword broke his block like a sword cutting butter.

Breaking his bones on his hands and his ribcage on his chest. Making him thrown in the process.

He coughed blood and begged mercy but Joan stomped his head on the process then left him. Breaking his skull helm's deer horn.

He saw that the enemies were fleeing from him so he used his scroll of daggers that summons daggers unlimitedly with using his mana as a catalyst.

They were running uphill so he chased after them.

Running towards them then jumped up high. Raining them with daggers left and right and others were hit on their backs. Some on the chests. They dropped to the ground but it didn't stop there.

The others wanted to fight for their lives for the last time and so Xin rewarded them with more daggers in their bodies. A fitting reward for the ones who destroyed their wheat field which was their future and saving grace.

He was at the top of the hill with bodies on his foothold and the wind was blowing his tattered clothes. Taking a blow in-between the ripped parts of his dress.

He saw the fire rise towards the clouds from the top of the hill and black smoke was emitted from the fields. Embers were produced after the fields were burned and Xin can only sit on the grassy hills as he can't do anything to put off the fire that they started.

Sighing in dismay, he stared at the clouds up above and rain clouds were formed. Soon after, rain poured into him. Making him smile but felt dismayed on his self.

The rain poured heavier and heavier as time goes by. Xin went inside and saw his father in the cells. Making him cry on the spot.

His father was famished and in tattered rags. He did not recognize Xin at first due to being starved but he finally did.

"Xin is that you?" He touched his cheeks

"Yes father, we're going home..."
