Chapter 114 - The Unexpected Arrival of Milo

The Unexpected Arrival of Milo

"Kai, my brother Gary's son Milo is coming in a week," Zach said, excitement radiating from his voice.

Kai couldn't wait to see him. A week later, Kai was at the beach with his brother Zach and his team, Scarlet, G, Ace, and Derek. Larry arrived late, apologizing, "Hope I wasn't too late."

Ace, his nephew, replied, "No, he isn't here yet."

Just then, they saw ripples in the water, and a whale popped up. Kai instinctively took out his dagger, ready to fight, but Larry stopped him. "Wait, Kai , don't you remember me telling you my brother is the king of the Atlantic and he married a whale princess, who's now the queen?"

The whale transformed into a human, revealing a 5'7" man with green wavy hair. He smiled and said, "Hi, Uncle Larry."

Kai sheathed his dagger, intrigued by this unexpected turn of events. Milo, the king's son, had arrived, and Kai was eager to learn more about him.

Milo stepped forward, a friendly smile on his face. "Hi everyone, I'm Milo. It's great to meet you all."

The team exchanged greetings, curious about the young man who was the son of the king of the Atlantic.

Larry asked, "Wasn't Gary supposed to be here with you?"

Milo looked a little embarrassed. "Ah, yeah... my father will be a little late."

Larry raised an eyebrow. "Why?"

Milo hesitated before answering, "You know how my father is... he didn't tell my mother he was leaving to come with me. He wanted a break from his duty without telling his wife... so now he has to finish his duty before he can come here."

Larry sighed, shaking his head. "He's still the same lazy ass... well, whatever. Let's go to Eldian, to the office."

The team began to walk towards the office, Milo falling into step beside them. Kai couldn't help but wonder what kind of king would sneak off without telling his wife, and what kind of duty he had to attend to before joining his son.

As they arrived at the office, High Mayor Lord Barry Green welcomed them warmly. "Ah, welcome back, everyone! And Milo, my nephew, it's great to see you!"

Milo smiled, "Thanks, Uncle Barry."

Barry's expression turned curious. "So, where's my brother Gary? I thought he was coming with you."

Larry chuckled. "He's a lazy ass, got in trouble with his sister-in-law. You know how he is."

Barry shook his head, laughing. "He never changes. Always getting into trouble."

Milo asked, "Larry, can you explain more about the Tournament of Power?"

Larry hesitated, "To be honest, Milo, I don't know much about it. It was created by the God Proxies, and the details are still unclear."

Barry added, "But we do know that the winner will receive a substantial prize: a large sum of money and the opportunity to ask for anything."

Milo's eyes widened, "Anything? That sounds incredible!"

Larry nodded, "Yes, but we need to be cautious. The God Proxies are known for their unpredictability, and we don't know what kind of challenges or rules they'll impose."

Barry said, "Still, the potential reward is too great to ignore. We'll participate and see where it takes us."

Milo's determination grew, "I'm in. Let's do it!"

The group nodded in agreement, ready to face the unknown challenges of the Tournament of Power.

Kai asked, "I'm curious, who's the strongest of the three triplets?"

Larry grinned, "I am, of course. But my two brothers are master swordsmen too."

Kai asked, "What's their style like?"

Larry explained, "Barry's Shinsei style lacks creativity, like mine and Gary's. But he focuses on power and can destroy his opponents with one strike when he's serious."

Kai's eyes widened, "That sounds intense."

Larry continued, "And Gary... well, he's a lazy ass who likes to be free and really doesn't like working. But his Shinsei style focuses on technique. He's a perfectionist."

Zach chuckled, "Sounds like a interesting combination."

Larry added, "And for me, my Shinsei style focuses on speed. So, it depends on the situation. I could lose to my brothers if I take it easy on them. But I can still kick both of their asses."

Kai laughed, "Confident, aren't you?"

Larry shrugged, "Just stating the facts. We triplets have always pushed each other to be our best."
