Chapter 63: "A Summons from the Mayor"
A week had passed since Kai and Zach's victory over the Blue Trolls. They had become B-Rank adventurers, and Kai had even reached the 5th Circle of Aura. They were enjoying a well-deserved meal at a local tavern, laughing and joking like usual.
Just as they were about to take a bite, G, the bodyguard, appeared at their table. "Kai, Zach, the High Lord Mayor Barry Green wants to see you."
They exchanged a curious glance but followed G to the Mayor's office. When they arrived, they were surprised to see a person who looked identical to Barry Green, but with green dreadlocks and a cool expression.
"Who are you?" Kai asked, confused.
G replied, "This is Larry, the older brother of Barry Green. They're triplets, along with Gary."
Larry nodded, his expression unreadable. "I've heard a lot about you two. I wants to discuss something important with you."
Kai and Zach exchanged a nervous glance, wondering what this mysterious meeting was about.
