[ Third Person POV ]
Pirates Festival, Bonus Round.
Pato slowly walked up to the two fighting individuals. Carla had somehow managed to adapt to the Red Count's attack patterns, and was now beginning to hold her own against him. It came with a cost, however, she had been injured at various points of the fight; and was now injured at multiple parts of her own body.
Carla pushed off the Red Count before raising her foot. The moment the Red Count recovered his stance from the sudden push, Carla brought down her foot as a deadly axe kick that immediately took the drawing of the Red Count out.
Pato looked on grimly as his drawing was taken out. It would take another few minutes of fighting her directly to create another drawing. Pato was sure that he wouldn't have enough Stamina to hold her off like that.
Carla took in a deep breath before she rushed right at Pato. Pato immediately raised his guard at the approaching Carla.
"Sorry Kid, I need this position!" Carla said before side kicking Pato right in the gut.
Pato let out a weak grunt as he crashed into a wall. His bones cracked as he was buried deep into the wall. Pato was almost knocked unconscious, but he still had the will to move about.
"I...can't....lose!" Pato slowly began to break out of the wall and eventually fell on the ground. It took him a while to get back on his feet, but he still managed to do so.
Carla looked at Pato with an equally determined expression. The two immediately met mid-air and clashed once again. Pato ended up coming at the losing end. However, it didn't stop him from recovering immediately and jumping back into the battle.
Pato was small, as a result, it was hard for him to create opportunities for him to counter-attack after a good dodge.
However, for every dodge that he made, Pato would make a bit of a marking with his tail. His goal being to draw another fighter that he could fight with against her.
Carla was slowly getting suspicious after she swung a few kicks and punches at her. The Red Count drawing was almost more than enough to knock her out of the fight. If it wasn't for her adaptability and her quick thinking. She would have already lost the fight, but handling another one of Pato's drawings was almost a guarantee that she would lose.
"I'm not going to let you draw another one of those things!"
She immediately rushed at Pato before delivering a devastating drop kick on her. Pato immediately flew back, and could only avoid the wall do to the fact that he used Soru to land back on the ground.
"Huh?" Carla hadn't fully comprehended what Pato had just done.
Pato wasted no time using Soru to rush at her. His usage of Soru wasn't at an expert level, and Carla could still see where he was rushing off too and from. However, the problem was that she didn't have enough hand-eye coordination to react to his attacks now.
Pato used everything that he had learned to try and knock out Carla. Carla responded by dodging and blocking his attacks, while keeping an eye out for Pato's tail.
Alas, Pato didn't have enough Stamina to keep up. When Pato was about to rush at Carla again, he stumbled on a rock and landed on his face. Carla was about to attack, but seeing the exhausted state that Pato was in, she couldn't bring herself to finish the job.
"Just stay down, you've fought well enough for someone your size," She said calmly.
"I can't! I can't let them down!!!" Pato said as he viscously struggled to get up.
Carla slowly walked up to him before quietly jabbing the back of Pato's neck, knocking him unconscious.
"You fought well, you can rest now," Carla said kindly.
Meanwhile, the battle among Ken, Mont. Fiore and Bubble jack was heating up. Mont. Fiore and Bubble Jack soon had stopped teaming up with each other, and it became a struggle for the best.
Whoever got up immediately became the new target.
Lightning, Bubble and sword slashes soon became prevalent as the trio fought each other furiously.
Ken immediately appeared in front of Bubble Jack before landing a kick that was coated with Armament Haki and lightning. Bubble Jack immediately raised his arms to guard as he coated his arms with Bubble and Armament Haki.
However, Bubble Jack wasn't prepared enough to directly take the blow.
"This is all your fault!" Ken muttered angrily as his foot slammed against Bubble Jack's guard.
"Tsk, how about you stop talking, and start fighting more? I'm beginning to get bored whenever I face you compared to Mont. Fiore," Bubble Jack snarled.
A sword slash immediately went right between the two of them. Mont. Fiore stood patiently with his rapier raised to start his assult.
"Shi-!" Ken didn't even have enough time to cuss as he immediately dissolved into lightning to completely miss Mont. Fiore's fatal pierce.
Bubble Jack performed a back flip to get away from the sudden events, only to be met with another kick coming from Carla. He easily blocked it and slid a bit of a distance away from Carla. His face riddled with annoyance as he looked at Carla.
"Out of the way, doll! This isn't a fight that you want," Bubble Jack snarled.
"Try me," Carla snapped.
With that, a battle between Carla and Bubble Jack immediately ensued.
Meanwhile, Ken and Mont. Fiore's battle seemed to be escalating by the second.
What seemed to be a battle between two pirates gradually escalated into a whirlwind of blades and lightning.
Mont. Fiore's rapier was so quick that it began creating an illusion that multiple blades were being swung. On the other hand, Ken would slowly mustered more and more lightning to offset the rising momentum that Mont. Fiore was gaining.
Every time that Mont. Fiore's rapier would reach Ken's neck, it would immediately meet a brief barrier of lightning that instantly repelled the blade. Ken had mastered lightning to a point where he could grant a charge towards an object that made contact with his lightning. As a result, the charges that were given could either attract the object closer to Ken, or repel the objects away from Ken; forming a small barrier.
The sequences kept going like this until Mont. Fiore made a feint with his blade, disrupting the flow of battle and promptly sending Ken flying and crashing through the walls of the arena.
The entire Arena boomed with cheers as they watched the entire fight. Things had been escalating since Pato had lost to Carla.
Speaking of which, the moment Pato had lost consciousness, A figure could be seen immediately appearing and grabbing Pato's body before vanishing. However, nobody really paid attention to this because they had been so occupied with the fight.
Carla and Bubble Jack kept on clashing in different scenarios. Carla's body was slowly beginning to give in to Bubble Jack's relentless assaults. She hadn't fully recovered from her battle with Pato, so she couldn't move her body as freely as she could.
Bubble Jack had long noticed this, and wasted no time using this to his advantage. He kept on attacking relentlessly without waiting for her to catch her breath. Each attack was aiming to knock her out, or at least leave her with a pretty bad bruise on her body.
Things weren't looking too good for Ken and Carla.
