We had been sailing across the White sea for another month since we got the Devil's Wood.
I was in a completely foul mood after losing the Rumble-Rumble fruit. I had gone through quite a bit of trouble trying to find it. Hell, I even went back to Birka to see whether it respawned there, but nothing came up. It was then that I decided to scour the entirety of Skypiea, I had killed quite a bit of people who kept on trying to pick a fight with me for intruding on their land; but they got the message after I killed the morons who tried to pick a fight with me.
I wasn't sure because of my grumpy mood, but the rest of the crew didn't seem to want to be around me whenever I got back to the ship. It was normally Stussy who would relay orders about where we should go next.
It was evident that she knew that I had been looking for the Devil Fruit, so she did her best to make sure that the crew stayed out of the way. We continued sailing about and checking every single village within the island. I even flew to the really secluded villages that were hard to reach via ship and looked for that damn fruit.
Unfortunately, all was for naught, and I could only conclude that the Devil fruit had appeared down below. So, we immediately set sail to leave Skypiea, Pato remained scared out of his mind as he heard what we were going to do.
"What do you mean we're just going to fall off the edge?! Don't we have a way to land there safely?"
"Not really,Pato," Ken responded, "The ship doesn't have any areal specialties, it is a robbed ship, after all."
"The ship wasn't even yours?!" Pato exclaimed increduosly, "Ugh, I give up."
The navigators, Kane and Brok, predicted that we would near the edge in about two days. So we spent the rest of our time sailing double checking the Devil's Wood reins to make sure they wouldn't snap when we transitioned from Skypiea to the blues.
Another problem that we were going to need to handle was where exactly we were going to land. There was no telling where exactly we could land because we had spent so much time up there. However, that was going to be a problem for a different day.
Two days later, we managed to find the edge of the cloud. Everyone was prepared to take the jump except Pato, who remained hidden within Stussy's bossom...bastard.
However, the ship soon fell off the cloud, and we began our 10,000 foot descent back to the Blue World.
It was natural that I had to make sure that the ship wasn't going to land head first, so I immediately flew out of the ship, and adjusted it to the proper position before making my way to the tethered Devil's Wood. After positioning them properly, I landed back on the ship, only to find the rest of the crew holding on for dear life.
In the next ten seconds, I managed to detect that there was a minor skirmish happening beneath us. I didn't happen to care a lot about it. However, I couldn't help but notice that there were three familiar presences that were currently there. My curiousity only grew after crashing into the fray.
Ignoring Pato's and the crew's complaints, I told them to get some rest while I decided to land on the icy battlefield to play for a bit. I slammed on the Icy ground causing cracks, before slowly unsheathing Labrys from my back and making my way towards the ship that happened to look like a flamingo.
"Oh~ To what do we owe the Storm Dragon a pleasure for?" an amused voice muttered as yellow lasers immediately made their way at me. I didn't even bother dodging as I was completely engulfed by a huge explosion that followed after. I casually walked out of the explosion as I faced the three Vice-Admiral's that were considered 'The Monster Trio'.
"It's been a while, Boris," Kuzan greeted me grimly.
"I'm surprised you're still alive, and unharmed at that," I remarked indifferently.
"You bastard!" Sakazuki growled, "you have no idea how much trouble you've gotten us into."
My eyes bore deep into Sakazuki's, the man flinched before summoning lava in his left arm. Kuzan and Borusalino immediately stopped him. Kuzan deployed an ice wall right in front of Sakazuki, while Borusalino immediately appeared behind him and held his unlavafied arm.
"We're retreating....for now," Kuzan announced to the now recovering Marines. He then turned to me with eyes that flashed with blatant hostility before saying, "don't think that this is over, we will hunt you and put you down. I promise you this."
I didn't say anything back, and I slowly watch them fall back and leave with the remaining Marine ships that were still functional. Leaving me alone with the flamingo looking ship, and a bunch of pirates that were looking at me warily with weapons pointed at me.
I ignored them for the most part and began looking around. That wasn't until I found something rather interesting.
In the corner of my eye, deep in the cabin of that Flamingo looking ship, I found a small object that shone yellow and had lightning like engraving on the surface. I wasn't sure whether what I was thinking was true, but I wanted to get more confirmation.
I used Soru to appear on the deck of the flamingo looking ship. However, as soon as I appeared there, a burly young man appeared in front of me. He was trying to tackle me down, but he didn't seem to have the strength to pull me to the ground.
Instead, a small crater formed when he made contact with me, and a little later than that I began to hear cracking sounds coming from the body of the young man. We stayed like that for a bit before I pushed him away and made my way to the cabin.
The cabin had been blown wide open, so there really wasn't a door needed to open it. So I stepped over the remains of the wall and got an even better look at the Devil Fruit.
"That's the Rumble-Rumble fruit," a slick voice came from my back.
I didn't say anything, and I immediately pocketed the Devil fruit. I couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief as I finally had my hands on it. I really thought I was going to let loose because some moron decided to eat the Devil fruit before I put my hands on it.
"Where do you think you're going? That's property of the Donquixote family!" A tall man stood in front of me as he spoke arrogantly as he stood over me.
I was about to ignore him and walk off, but another one appeared in front of me. His face was droopy, and full of snot, which almost made me feel nauseated. However, I stopped and bore my eyes deep into the man's glasses. Staring into the man's eyes as I stood there with Labrys in hand.
"Doflamingo, are you ready to lose your family over this?" I asked coldly.
"Trebol, Diamante, let him walk. You can't even do anything even if you tried," Doflamingo ordered.
However, contrary to their leader's orders they didn't back off. Instead they slowly began to walk closer. It seemed that I needed to assert my dominance.
The duo immediately froze as they felt my killing intent leak from me. Hell, they even stopped breathing as they looked at me with a notable fear. I walked past them and momentarily stopped at the frozen Doflamingo. He looked like he was trying his damnest to move, but he couldn't.
"Don't let this happen again, I'll kill anyone who tries to take what's mine."
With that being said, I slowly walked back to my ship.
