Chapter 159 - A God Against A Dragon

"AGE OF EXTINCTION!!!!!!"

"Fulgur Perditionis!!!"

Our attacks met midair, causing the surroundings to tremble furiously. By now, the rest of the crew had already evacuated the island and returned to the ship. While the Birkan soldiers had all been knocked out by now, leaving them vulnerable to the destruction which was currently happening.

It was now just the two of us, and we were clearly trying to kill each other.

We continued pushing each others weapons as we tried to overpower each other. Although the humanoid was bigger than me, it didn't mean that he had the advantage to overpower me.

"Filthy mongrel, do you truly believe that just because you have a little bit of strength that you can overpower me?!" The humanoid exclaimed.

I didn't retort anything, instead, I kicked him square on the ice chest that had been covering its chest. The kick sent him back a bit, but I noted that there was a bit of a crack on that blue ice chest coating of his.

It seemed that he had also noted it as well, because he immediately began covering that area with Armament haki as well. I decided to keep up the momentum, and covered my axe with Ryuo as I lunged at the humanoid.

The humanoid raised its spear before it swung down on me. The spear was already coated with Armament haki, but that didn't change what I had been planning on doing. I immediately swung Labrys upwards and met the shaft of the spear with a heavy collision.

The clash immediately repelled the spear, and gave me even more momentum to speed up and get closer to the humanoid. Coating my foot with Armament haki, I immediately landed a pushkick square on the chest of the humanoid. The momentum along with my Superiority in Armament haki compared to him immediately broke through the Armament haki ice coating and allowed me to enter inside the humanoids chest.

He wasn't there, obviously, but that didn't stop me from channeling my own lightning to give it a stroke. Silver tendrils slithered and licked my skin as I sent a shockwave of it throughout the humanoid's body, causing him to scream and wail in agony.

"Filthy human! What have you done to me?!" The humanoid demanded as his large appearance slowly began to shrink.

"Just gave you a little bit of CPR," I responded casually as I reached for the now average sized man's neck.

However, before I could reach him, he immediately turned back to lightning before flying off towards another cluster of clouds.

By now it was slowly beginning to dawn on me that this man was relying on the natural power of the clouds to further boost his lightning abilities. Though I could have simply stopped it by grabbing the man and killing him before he got there. I wanted to see what else he wanted to do.

Diving in another one of the clouds, I could hear his laughter as he slowly grew back to his already large humanoid form. The spear that he had made this time was made out of Armament haki and pure lightning.

His figure remained the same as last time, the only difference this time being the fact that he had feet now. He slowly turned towards me before lunging at me. The tip of his spear was pointed square at my chest as I twirled my axe and lunged at him as well.

He tried to run me through, but I immediately used my axe's handle to deflect the tip and slam the humanoid square in the face with the flat of my blade. I literally had to fly for a bit so that I could get to his face, but that was irrelavant.

It momentarily stunned him before he raised his hand before trying to swat me with it. I moved to the side as I watched him slapping the palm of his hand directly to his face. He moaned in pain before turning his furious eyes upon me.

However, before he could even say anything, I immediately used Soru to appear in front of him. I quickly summoned my axe as I swung my axe towards his neck. He thought that I was going to slice his face in, because he was trying to coat his entire face with Armament haki. However, the look on his face as I lopped his head of would be something I remember for quite a while.

He couldn't even get the oppurtunity to say anything as his head slowly dissolved into lightning before it went back into the clouds. His body slowly began to face back into the clouds as well.

Normally, this would signify the end of the fight. However, my Observation haki told me that the man was still lurking somewhere within the clouds; moreover, he was gathering strength to try and fight back.

"You should stop hiding, it's really annoying for me to go through this again," I commented as I slowly flew to the cloud that I had sensed his presence in.

He didn't say anything in response to me; I guess he wanted to remain hidden as he tried to regroup, but little did he know that I already knew where he was.

I plunged my hand within the cloud as I slowly began to feel for him. He was like a fish in the middle of a pond full of other fishes. There were countless tendrils of lightning that were tickling my hand as I tried to grab him. It was getting annoying and I was starting to lose my patience, so I decided to do what normal pirates would have done.

"Since you're a God, I'm sure that you won't mind if I destroy Birka, right?"

"You bastard!"

Got him.

"You dare to threaten the destruction of my pro-" He couldn't even finish what he was trying to say because I clutched his neck tightly to get a firm grip on the man's neck. I slowly began to pull him out of the clouds.

The beauty of Armament haki is the fact that it automatically materializes the Logia devil fruit user back to his normal form. So he couldn't even flee if he wanted to, because his form was intact so long as I kept my haki flowing nice and proper.

The man looked fine for the most part, it wasn't like I was hitting him the same way that I was going at it with the Five Elders. However, I didn't ignore the small trickle of blood that was trickling down his mouth.

"You piece of shit! Let me go!!" The man struggled against my grip.

"You have something that I need, though," I replied, "but don't worry, I'll get it from you real quick. It'll barely hurt."

Sensing the impending danger, he fought and struggled to get away from me, but I held him with a vice grip as I slowly began to squeeze little by little. At this moment of time, he stopped speaking, and he was more focused on hitting me, trying to stun me enough to release my grip of his neck. Hell, he even tried to use Conqurer's haki to subjugate me, but that was far from enough to even faze me.

With a wet snap, the life of the 'God' of Birka was now extinguished. Leaving behind the corpse of a man whose face was etched with fear, doubt, and regret. I released the neck of the man, leaving him to fall through the clouds and through the White Sea. His body probably landing within the waters of the Blue World.

"Come to think of it, I never got his name, did I?" I muttered as I made my way to my ship. However, that didn't matter much.
