[ Third Person POV ]
Marineford
The World was currently heating up with turmoil.
The Big Mom Pirates and the Golden Lion Pirates were still going at it in the New World. Their alliances also joining into the fray causing more devastation. Kaido remained aloof, and continued attacking World Government affiliated islands and Marine bases. Though he would be caught every once in a while, he would immediately escape, and later repeating the same process.
The Grandline and the blues weren't doing any better. The Whitebeard Pirate's Storm Dragon was spotted sailing along the grandline. He soon met the two Vice-Admirals Sakazuki and Kuzan, who lost to him and weren't found until a few days later. Their conditions were critical, Sakazuki had lost an arm and a leg as a result of the fight, but Kuzan wasn't doing any better.
Kuzan had to have life saving surgery to get bits and pieces of debree from his body while he was underwater. Matter of fact, it was a mystery in itself how they had managed to escape the Storm Dragon alive. They were both unconcious when they had been found on the shores of an uninhabitated island.
Fleet-Admiral Kong, had been buried with paperwork ever since the war between Big Mom and Shiki had started. He had been ordered to send troops to the New World and protect the World Government affiliated nations. That had been easy at first because Marine bases were all set up for all the islands and nations. However, the frequent attacks from the pirates had quickly managed to overwhelm the Marine Bases, as a result, they had found themselves asking Headquarters for more assistance.
It got so bad that they had to utilize the two Admirals to at least offset some of the chaos that was happening. Borusalino remained in the Holy land as a security measure just in case, and Garp had been ordered to withdraw from his pursuit for Roger, to going to the New World and knocking some sense into Big Mom and Shiki.
Whitebeard, one of the major players that the World Government and Marines were weary of, had been surprisingly quiet ever since this conflict had happened. If anything, they had remained silent ever since the start of the conflict. However, that didn't mean that they wouldn't move if their territory was threatened. At a certain point during the start of the conflict, the Golden Lion Pirates had sent some of their affiliates to raid one of Whitebeard's islands so that they could restock on supplies.
Whitebeard had wasted no time sending the First Division Commander, Marco the Phoenix, to go handle the Pirate crew. Since then, no attacks had been made against Whitebeard or his territory, and that situation would only remain the same when The Storm Dragon returned from his ventures.
Currently, the Fleet Admiral was in a meeting with some Vice-Admirals who were in charge of Marine Bases in the Blues.
"The Donquixote Family...." Fleet-Admiral Kong ominously muttered as he read through the report.
"They haven't shown themselves directly when they sell their products, but their underlings have been seen wearing the insignia while they performed their dealings," One Vice-Admiral remarked.
"What of the main family? Where is Doflamingo?" Fleet-Admiral Kong asked.
"Doflamingo was last scene making his way back into North Blue after he had finished his dealings in the Grandline," Admiral Sengoku responded, "According to some key eye witnesses, the Donquixote family had been engaging in combat with Kuzan when Boris made an appearance. It was then that Sakazuki decided to prioritize him as the main target, and attack him instead."
Kong sighed as he read over the details of the report. He had always admired Sakazuki's burning desire to put an end to piracy, but his methods and the distance he was willing to take to accomplish this was just too much. He was happy that Sakazuki and Kuzan had managed to make it out alive, just barely, but he knew that a punishment for Sakazuki was looming over the horizon.
"Alright, we'll continue hunting down the family. Just keep an eye out for these goods that they're selling and try to get them before its too late," Kong ordered, "the last thing that we're going to need is chaos within the blue."
"What about Kaido?" Admiral Zephyr promptly asked.
"His frequent attacks on the Marines is slowly beginning to damage our reputation. We need to stop him from doing so," Kong stated while pondering, "Zephyr, it's time for you to stretch your limbs, go and knock some sense to that hot-blooded idiot. Arrest him if possible."
"Garp is already on his way to put an end to that little skirmish that BigMom and Shiki had started. I think that we should send some reinforcements just to help, but his expression before he left told me otherwise," Kong stated as he looked at the latest edition of the World Economic News.
"The best we can do is wait and see," Admiral Sengoku stated as he put away some of the reports.
The Moby Dick
"Pops! Marco just came back!" Jozu ran towards his adopted father.
The Whitebeard Pirates had been roaming about ever since the start of the conflict. They managed to protect their territories during the conflict. They were enjoying themselves and the peace that they had established during the conflict. Matter of fact, the infamy of the Whitebeard Pirates had increased even further as they maintain peace within the territories as well. However, one person, or one crew had been missing throughout the start of the entire conflict.
"Why is Boris taking so long?" Marco asked emotionally as he sat on a barrel.
It had been about two months since Boris had left to the Grandline. They rarely talked to each other save for the one time that Boris had called Whitebeard to ask for permission for some materials for the new ship that he had been building.
Whitebeard, the captain, was enjoying his drink when he had received a call on his transponder snail.
The members immediately went quiet as they waited for Whitebeard to pick up the call.
"It's been a while, Whitebeard, Jamon" King Neptune greeted.
"It has been a while, Neptune. What do you want?" Whitebeard asked casually.
"I need your help, but I can't talk to you about it on call. Some unwanting ears might eaves-drop, Jamon," King Neptune responded.
"Is it that urgent? For me to personally come to visit," Whitebeard commented.
"It wouldn't be urgent if I had to ask you to do so, Jamon," King Neptune replied.
"Very well, I'll be coming soon," Whitebeard responded before hanging up.
"You guys!!" Whitebeard roared, "Get ready to sail to Fishman Island!!"
The crew cheered before immediately preparing the ship for the journey. They had fallen into a lull for a while now, and this little journey would prove to be rejuvinating to some extent. Besides, they had been waiting for a while for the two pirate groups, The Big Mom Pirates and The Golden Lion Pirates, to attack their territories.
The little journey would have also proved to be a vacation of some sorts, just to ease their minds for a while before they dive back into protecting their territory.
Whitebeard made sure to take precautions and left some powerful Division Commanders behind just incase it happened while they were away.
Other than that, the Whitbeard Pirates were on their way to Fishman Island.
