Chapter 6 - Breaking into million pieces

LA

Restaurant

"Ba...babe." Felix pushed Layla aside and stood up. "It's not what it looks like..."

"Of course, that's the line of every fucking cheater!" Diamond yelled, grabbing the attentions of other customers including the waiters.

"Babe, let's go outside and discuss." Felix reached out to hold her but she quickly pulled away.

"Don't you dare touch me, you cheating bastard." She snapped. "How could you? How could you stoop so low into fucking your own best friend, huh?"

"Listen to me,,,I promise it's not what it looks like."

"Alright. Let's say I'm wrong." Diamond cleared her throat and then looked around. "Where are the boys?"

"Wha...what boys?"

She scrolled through her phone and tapped on the text message then showed it to him.

"You said you were with the boys. Where are they?"

Felix gulped nervously, scratching the back of his neck. His face has gone pale and his lips were trembling.

"I...You... it's not what you think."

"Argh!" Diamond groaned loudly, getting frustrated with hearing just that one line. "What do you think I'm thinking, Felix? Because I haven't said anything since I got here other than asking for the boys. So tell me, is your conscience already judging you?"

Felix lowered his head.

Diamond gaze shifted to Layla who was busy drinking of a glass of champagne, acting like none of what's happening matters to her.

"And you," Layla looked up. "are you going to just sit there and say nothing?"

"Say what exactly, huh? Please leave me out of this shit, okay?"

"Oh, really?" Diamond chuckled bitterly, running her fingers through her hair. "You are not going to deny it."

"Deny what?" Layla rose to her feet. "Of fucking your boyfriend? Is that it?"

"Layla." Felix called through gritted teeth, glaring hard at her.

"What?"

"Stop talking if you have nothing reasonable to say."

"I have a lot of reasonable things to say, Felix. Isn't it time for you to tell her the truth, huh? Let her know already."

Diamond furrowed her brows, confused. "Know what?"

"Don't listen to he_"

"He doesn't love you, bitch." Layla cut Felix off.

Diamond shoulder dropped as her eyes widened in shock. She darted her gaze in between Felix and Layla.

"LAYLA!" Felix exclaimed.

"She needs to know the truth, okay? I'm tired of keeping this relationship hidden. I'm tired of loving you in secret. I can't keep doing this." Layla said.

"Wow." Diamond choked out.

"Babe," Felix tried reaching out to Diamond again.

"Don't you dare touch me." She warned and he immediately put his hand away.

"Please don't listen to her. Layla is just my best friend,,,you are the one that matters more to me. I know you caught us in a weird position but,"

"Weird position?" Diamond repeated. "I caught you two kissing!"

"I know but there's nothing special about the kiss, believe me."

"Stop deceiving her, Felix." Layla scoffed. "Because you told me just last night that having sex with me feels more special and amazing than with her."

"Layla, stop talking."

Diamond didn't even know when the tears she has been holding in broke down.

All eyes were on them and she felt so embarrassed. She wasn't the one caught cheating and yet she feels so...ashamed.

"Diamond, don't listen to her." Felix said.

"Wow. I...i can't believe this is happening to me of all days. Is she really your best friend?"

"Yes. I swear. We are just best friends."

"We fell in love, Diamond. We were best friends who fell for each other like in every novel. You are a writer, you should know how this things work."

"How long?" Diamond asked.

"What?" Felix raised a questioning brows, feigning confusion.

"I said, how long? How long have you two been fucking? How long have you been looking at me in the eyes and lie? How long have I been sharing you with another girl? How long? Answer me."

Felix gulped nervously.

Layla folded her arms over her chest, rolling her eyes every now and then.

It was silent.

"Two years."

"Layla."

"What? She asked a question and I answered. Did I do anything wrong there?"

Diamond almost fell but someone caught her from behind. It was one of the guys she met not quite long ago and even drank one of their glass of water.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"Hmm. Thank you." She set herself free from his hold and straightened herself, sniffling. "Is this the reason?"

"What are you_"

She cut Felix off. "Is this the reason why you always have sex with me for only twenty minutes? Is it because you have someone else tending to your sexual needs? Do you even love me?"

"He doesn't." Layla answered.

Diamond shot her a hard glare. "I wasn't talking to you, idiot."

"Whatever." Layla waves her off, looking away.

Felix sighed. "I do. I love you so much, Diamond. And I'm sorry for_"

"You cheated on me for two good years and you claim to love me?" Diamond laughed bitterly, shaking her head. "That's no love, Felix.

Love is when you stick to a person regardless of their flaws. You never satisfied me in bed but yet I stood by you. I didn't judge you or go out there to look for a random guy to fuck me. I stayed loyal with you and this is what I get from you?"

"Wait, I never satisfied you in bed?"

"You didn't know because I never told you. I didn't want to embarrass you or make you feel insulted or look down upon. You have a small cock, Felix."

Small laughs flew past them in the restaurant as whispers filled the air. Some girls were shameless enough to stare down at Felix's trouser.

Felix looked so embarrassed. "What are you saying?"

"You know, every guy's pride lies in their cock. I managed the little you have because I don't want to destroy your pride or make you feel bad about yourself. And most because I love you." She paused.

"But I'm so disappointed and I feel so disgusted because I can't believe I'm sharing your small cock with your damn best friend."

"Diamond, stop saying that out here." Felix said.

"Why? Are you ashamed?" She huffed. "So you are ashamed of hearing the truth about your small cock but you are not ashamed of making out with your best friend publicly and being caught cheating, huh?"

"I said it's not what it looks_" Diamond slapped him very hard on the face.

"Don't you dare repeat that same line to me, you lying cheat." She aggressively wiped off the tears that trailed down her face. "I hate you with every ounce and fibre in my body. I hate you so much. I sacrificed my happiness and sexual needs because of you.

I thought love should be based on one's feelings and not about sex or material things." She shook her head. "I was so wrong. I regret ever loving you.

I regret ever wasting my precious seven years with a jerk like you! I regret everything that involves you. Shame on you."

"Diamond_"

"Call my name one last time and I will shred you into a million pieces, try me." She eyed Layla from head to toe who was now embarrassed. "You can have him. Lick off from my vomit, Layla. I don't care.

She turned to leave but stopped. "And one more thing," She strolled to Layla and gave her a dirty slap. Layla gasped in shock and fell back on the chair. "That's for calling me a bitch, you lowlife bitch." She spat coldly.

"Everyone," Diamond walked to the center of the restaurant. "You see that guy standing over there?" She pointed at Felix. "He is a lying bastard and a big cheat with a small cock and the girl over there," She pointed at Layla.

"That's his new girlfriend. They were meant to be best friends but turned out to be lovers. Isn't that shocking? You can congratulate them if you think their love will last forever because honestly," Her gaze were fixed on Layla.

"When you steal from someone, just know someone else will steal from you. What you do to others, will always come back for you." She stormed out of the restaurant afterwards.

As soon as Diamond shut the door, hot tears rolled down her face.

She loved Felix so much. She really did. She knows what she did in there wasn't necessary but the anger, the pain, the betray left her heart wounded and her sense of reasoning flew out of the window.

She stood on the side of the road, waiting for a cab or a bus to come and take her away from here.

"Here," A voice interrupted her.

She sniffled, wiping off her tears and then turned to look at the person.

It was the guy who caught her from falling earlier in the restaurant and also the same guy who let her drank his water. His second was waiting for him, leaning on a black benz away from where they stood.
