Ken suddenly appeared with Eva in a princess carry, holding on to him dearly with her eyes shut. They were inside a cave at a sharp turn, illuminated by glowing red crystals that emitted heat. The cave walls were damp, and the air felt humid.
Ken appeared just a bit away from where the Book of Records had said to go,
Eva opened her eyes, a little surprised by the change in the surroundings but she had already expected this when Ken scooped her up.
Ken gently put her down, his hands resting on her waist to support her.
Eva regained her balance, pursing her lips as she shot Ken a soft glare. "Could you please warn me a full minute before you do that?" she grumbled. Yet, the concern in her eyes betrayed her, as she quickly checked his condition.
