Eva stared at me, her expression frozen in shock. I couldn't help but chuckle as I leaned in to peck her lips, bringing her out of her daze.
"Two years ago, you tried so hard to hide that you were a blessed one, but I'm glad you did. I didn't know at the time, and if I had, I might've done something... uncalled for."
I mused, I honestly might have done something uncalled for. Two years ago, just weeks before I met Eva again, I was going through a rough patch—changing in ways I didn't fully understand. I'd tortured and killed the last relative of the Valxin Family... After that, I spent a lot of time with Aisa, becoming less cold, and less indifferent. But if I had met Eva back then, and she revealed she was blessed... well, I might've taken advantage of her powers...
