In an alleyway, Eva and Lucy stood, both serious. "So, mind telling me what's going on and who they are?" Lucy questioned with a dark face. She wouldn't accept a sloppy explanation here.
Eva hesitated, but it wasn't worth hiding. "Sigh... Might as well tell you, it wouldn't take long for you to figure it out anyway." She sighed as she sat down on the ground and leaned on the wall. "I wanted to meet Ken for the last time before I drown myself in work, so I made a deal with his father and arranged a few things... The deal was for me to become Ken's possible fiancée and act as a shield for him till Eyrluna is found. Of course, that wasn't all. I was tasked with finding any trace of Eyrluna from Ken's obsession and examining his abnormally adaptive body," she explained, making Lucy stare blankly at her.
