Scaling and Stuff

VR Pod: The VR pod is the only means for Players to enter Aerks, with Eleis being the sole exception. This pod is the foundation of the entire Leveling system. Without a VR pod, Players cannot access a status screen or in-game interface, making it impossible to participate in the system.

Leveling System: The leveling system is exclusive to Players. Natives of Aerks do not have a status or a way to accurately measure their levels, unlike Players. When Players log in, they enter Aerks through their Avatars, whereas Blessed ones are physically teleported to Aerks by the VR pods.

The leveling system is virtual for Players, meaning no matter how strong they become in the game, their real bodies remain unaffected. However, Blessed ones bring their physical bodies into Aerks, so their strength and abilities can improve.

Monster Classification

Monsters, Beasts, and Beast Kings are all considered monsters, but due to their greater strength and intelligence, Beasts and Beast Kings are categorized separately.

Monsters: These are entities below level 100. They possess limited intelligence and are considered low-tier threats.

Beasts: These entities range from level 100 to 199 and display intelligence comparable to that of a 4 to 12-year-old human.

Beast Kings: These are entities at level 200 and above. Each Beast King is unique, even within the same species, and their intelligence equals or surpasses that of humans.

Note: The levels and status measurements are exclusive to Players and Blessed ones. For native inhabitants, these levels are merely estimates. Humans, despite their intelligence, are among the weakest races in Aerks, with their large numbers being their only significant advantage.

Intelligent races are those with established languages or a certain level of understanding. Mythical, legendary, and fairy tale creatures like Dragons, Phoenixes, Elves, and Dwarves are classified under these intelligent races. There are also Special Monsters in Aerks, which are either unique beings or the result of experiments.

Leveling System Mechanics

Levels Below 101:

Levels below 101 act as restrictions to help the body adapt to the supernatural environment of Aerks. BlueVail, the home of the Players, lacks such supernatural elements, so leveling up provides a gradual increase in body quality to adjust to these new conditions. The Avatars have the same body quality as the Players, while Blessed ones already know what Mana is and are exposed to it but it's not enough exposure so the increase in body Quality is necessary.

Body Quality: As individuals level up (except for the leap from level 99 to 100), there is a small increase in body quality. This is essential because neither Players nor Blessed ones are accustomed to mana and other supernatural forces. The increase in body quality allows them to endure these forces more effectively.

Avatars in Aerks mirror the body quality of their Player counterparts, while Blessed ones, who are already somewhat familiar with mana, still require these gradual increases to fully adapt.

{VERY IMPORTANT TO KNOW}Stat Capacity: Levels do not increase stats but rather expand the capacity of the body to bear those stats, with the exception of level 100.

-

For example, if you level up from 1 to 2, your body quality slightly improves, but your stats (e.g., Power 10 and Magic 10) remain the same. However, your new capacity allows these stats to increase up to Power 20 and Magic 20 before you need to level up again.

Stat Capacity Variation: The amount by which your body quality increases varies depending on your current level. For instance, leveling up from 97 to 98 might increase your stat capacity from 3850 to 3930. Your stats remain at 3850 until you improve them, but they now have the potential to reach 3930 before you hit the next level.

Level 99 to 100 Transition: A Player at level 99 can have minimal stats, such as Power 10 and Magic 10, but such an individual cannot reach level 100. This is because leveling up to 100 results in a significant increase in body quality, which also directly adds 1,000 Power and 1,000 Magic. If the body is not prepared to handle this sudden boost, the individual could be fatally overwhelmed.

=====

Breakdown of Levels.

Level 1: All Players start with 10 Power and 10 Magic. But a trained individual at this level will defeat an untrained individual through sheer raw strength, not skill.

Level 99: This is the final level before the first major benchmark. At level 99, the body's capacity to hold stats is capped at 8,000. This cap applies to both Power and Magic combined, and it is fixed for all Players, including Blessed ones.

Level 100: This is the first major benchmark in the leveling system. Upon reaching this level, the body's capacity to hold stats increases from 8,000 to 10,000, and the Player gains 1,000 Power and 1,000 Magic directly. Additionally, reaching level 100 upgrades the Player's race from Human to High-Human, improving their physique, mana quality, and magic circuit:

Physique: Enhances all normal bodily functions.

Mana Quality: Increases the density of one's mana.

Magic Circuit: Improves the ease of mana circulation.

Level 150: This is another benchmark in the leveling system, this one is a minor benchmark.

(Author Note: Nothing about this has been mentioned in the Novel yet so I will leave it here.)
