Lily and Freddie too went away. Lily hadn't expected it and even tried to confront Freddie about it.
"Why are we leaving so soon? But we just got here." She asked while he fastened her seatbelt.
"Home." He simply replied.
"But I don't want to."
"Stop arguing and relax. Okay." He kissed her forehead to soothe her down.
"I want to meet your family again." Freddie pulled the car onto the road. He hadn't wanted to leave the place, but Lily wasn't giving him any attention. He planned to make that night a joyous one with her, but it seemed only her friends seemed alive to her then.
He knew her very well, and if he had not taken her, she wouldn't have even realized that they just got into another relationship together.
The thing was, Lily somehow loved to be around her friends and family. She had a best friend and they spoke to each other every day, and even saw each other every day. Freddie was her second parent. She loved him very much. Except they hadn't agreed on who to spend the rest of their lives with.
They were both okay with what they had. Their friendship was very taming. They would do anything together. Even behave like married couples. It never occurred to them that they would one day have feelings for each other.
She were so excited that Lily paid no attention to him tonight.
" Sorry," she apologized after realizing the reason for his attitude.
"I know tonight was supposed to be our night, and I ruined it." She looked away to avoid further rudeness from him.
"It's alright." She felt a hand on her head.
"I'm happy that you were able to celebrate today's day." Freddie consoled her with his parental attitude.
Lily turned to face him. Freddie quickly pulled over in the middle of the streets.
"Freddie," Lily reminded him. He would always do that when he wanted to hug her in the car.
He then moved the car to the side of the road.
"Sorry," he said while hugging her.
Was it for her predicament or him stopping in the middle of the road?
"Can we continue now. I'm fine." She wanted to get out of wherever they were to her parents house. She would feel uneasy whenever he stopped in the middle of the road.

"Home sweet home!" Freddie said to wake her up. She had fallen asleep with force since every car that would pass by would blow its horn at them.
Freddie whyyyyyy?
"Come-on babe, let's meet family." He said to cheer her up. He knew she had fallen asleep because of what he did. He unfastened her seatbelt staring straight at her while removing strands of black hair from her face behind her ears.
"Come, let's go." He stretched his hand towards her. She accepted it since she was still in a sleepy mood.

Steve had called his parents the moment he saw Freddie's car in their compound. He already knew him and wanted to give them a free gate.
"Hello," he alerted them when they got inside. His parents too sat down in the vast sitting room beaming with smiles.
"Ummm, good evening guys!" Lily said awkwardly. She stared at Freddie in wonder. They just entered the house and were surprised to see them seated at the hour.
"Where you expecting us?" She didn't _ What was that? She somehow loved it. She gazed at her younger brother. It was his doing.
"Welcome again." Steve led his big sis to sit down and offered Freddie another.
Freddie who was in a daze as well greeted the elders silently. His brother in-law had made his job easier.
"Would you want something to drink." Lily's mom, Mrs Anderson offered.
"Thanks mom. We are okay." Freddie replied. He knew them and had no problem addressing them like how he did with his parents.
"We knew you would be coming here, so we got ready to meet you. You've had a long day and you need to rest." Lily's father addressed them both.
"Then I'll go straight to the point." Lily suggested. They all agreed including her brother.
"Mom, dad, Steve, meet Freddie again,my boyfriend." Lily introduced Freddie the second time to her family.
She had done that when they meet at the University of Ghana. She didn't think their friendship would last since she didn't have any male friends. But later, they were very famous together and she had introduced him to her family.
"Welcome again son, into the Anderson family." Her father got up to shake his hands. Freddie too got on his feet to meet him.
"Thank you very much." Steve hugged him and then went upstairs. He knew that was the end for him and had to leave it to his elders.
"Mom, dad, I'll go and escort him." Lily said to her parents who wouldn't stop smiling.
At last, their daughter had gotten somebody. They knew him very well and would not spare him if there was to be any crack on their daughter. Their only wish was that it would last very well.
"We'll be retreating to bed. Don't forget to have a goodnight's sleep." Her mom advised.
Lily led Freddie out.
