Chapter 27 - Diego's Origins

Dabao sat in his dimly lit room, a stack of papers and old records spread out before him. He muttered to himself as he connected the dots.

Dabao: Diego's mother... a Predator. His father knew and still chose to love her. That explains Diego's unique abilities. But why hasn't he fully manifested his powers?

He sifted through more documents, coming across an old family tree and various historical records about the Su family.

Dabao: The Su family... descendants of royalty. They might not have powers, but their bloodline gives them authority over all Meta humans, Predators, and Titans. That kind of influence is dangerous if misused.

Dabao's thoughts were interrupted by a sudden realization.

Dabao: If Diego's mother was a Predator and the Su family has this royal blood... Diego's potential is immense. He's a blend of Predator and royal bloodline. No wonder he's struggling with his identity and powers.

He closed the files and leaned back in his chair, contemplating his next move.

Dabao: I need to ensure Diego understands his heritage and learns to control his abilities. But this also means keeping a close watch on the Su family. Their influence could be a double-edged sword.

Determined, Dabao decided to confront Su Han with what he had discovered. He needed her to understand the gravity of the situation.

Later that evening, Dabao found Su Han in the university library, engrossed in her studies. He approached her, his face serious and resolute.

Dabao: Su Han, we need to talk. It's about Diego and your family's legacy.

Su Han looked up, startled by his sudden appearance but sensing the urgency in his voice.

Su Han: What did you find out, Lou?

Dabao: Diego's mother was a Predator. Your father knew about her origin but loved her regardless. This makes Diego a unique blend of Predator and your royal lineage. Your family's bloodline gives you authority over Meta humans, Predators, and Titans. Do you understand what this means?

Su Han's eyes widened in shock.

Su Han: I... I had no idea. But why is this important now?

Dabao: Because Diego is struggling with his identity and his powers. He needs to understand where he comes from and how to control his abilities. But more importantly, you need to be aware of the influence your family holds. It can be a powerful tool or a dangerous weapon.

Su Han took a deep breath, trying to process everything.

Su Han: What do we do now?

Dabao: We help Diego. I'll train him to master his abilities. But we also need to keep this information within the family for now. If the wrong people find out about your bloodline's authority, it could put you all in danger.

Su Han nodded, determination in her eyes.

Su Han: Alright, Lou. I trust you. Let's help Diego and protect our family.

Dabao: Good. We'll start Diego's training soon. Just be prepared for the challenges ahead. This won't be easy, but it's necessary.

With that, Dabao left Su Han to ponder over the revelations, knowing that their journey was just beginning. The stakes were higher than ever, but he was ready to face whatever came their way.

Hao Jin was in his office, surrounded by stacks of files and documents, reflecting on the recent events concerning Dabao. His mind was filled with concern, knowing the young man's complicated circumstances. Determined to offer some support, he picked up his phone and dialed his son Hanyu's number.

Hanyu: (answering the call) Hey, Dad.

Hao Jin: (with a serious tone) Hanyu, I've been thinking a lot about Dabao. I know he's going through a lot. How is he holding up? Is there any way I can help?

Hanyu: (sighing) Dad, Dabao is... complicated. He's dealing with things that are far beyond what we can understand. But he's strong, and he's handling it on his own terms.

Hao Jin: (concerned) I understand he's strong, but he shouldn't have to go through this alone. Maybe there's something we can do to support him, even if it's just being there for him.

Hanyu: I know, Dad. Trust me, I want to help him too. But it's not that simple. Dabao has become a Meta human, and he's facing challenges we can't even begin to fathom. He has secrets, deep ones, about how he became what he is now.

Hao Jin: (thoughtfully) Secrets, you say? Does he ever talk about them?

Hanyu: Not really. He's very guarded. It's like he's built a wall around himself, and he doesn't let anyone in. I wish I could help him more, but I'm just a human. What he's dealing with is way beyond our reach.

Hao Jin: (sighs) I see. It's hard knowing someone you care about is struggling and there's little you can do. But sometimes, just knowing that we're here for him can make a difference. He doesn't have to face this entirely alone.

Hanyu: (nods, though his father can't see) I'll try to remind him of that. Maybe if he knows we're here, it'll help him open up, even just a little.

Hao Jin: Good. Keep an eye on him, Hanyu. And if there's ever anything I can do, you let me know. We'll get through this together, as a family.

Hanyu: Thanks, Dad. I'll keep you posted. And don't worry too much. Dabao is resilient. He'll find his way.

Hao Jin: (with a hint of hope) I trust he will. Take care, son.

Hanyu: You too, Dad.

As Hao Jin hung up the phone, he felt a mixture of concern and hope. He knew that while Dabao's journey was fraught with danger and secrecy, having the support of family could be a beacon of strength for him. Determined to be there in whatever way he could, Hao Jin resolved to stay vigilant and supportive, ready to help whenever the need arose.
