Chapter 9 - Pov...

In a secret medical room

The massive medical room was bathed in clinical white light, reflecting off the steel walls and sophisticated equipment that filled the space. At the center of this surreal piece were two men. They were breathtakingly beautiful, their appearance almost ethereal, but a palpable aura of danger emanated from them. They were identical, down to the last detail: the same piercing gaze, the same imposing stature, and the same silence full of mystery. Doctors, nurses and researchers were busy around them, adjusting instruments, taking measurements, and exchanging worried glances.

These men, known as Alessandro and Lorenzo, came from the distant planet Blue. They were enhanced humans, beings genetically modified to achieve unparalleled physical and intellectual perfection. However, despite their extraordinary abilities, they carried within them a suffering that nothing seemed to ease. Their existence on Earth had a specific purpose: to find help for a most personal quest.

Doctor Sandoval, head of the medical team, approached the twins cautiously. She knew they couldn't stand to be touched by those who felt desire towards them, a phenomenon difficult to avoid given their striking beauty.

-Alessandro, Lorenzo, she began in a soft but firm voice, "we understand the urgency of your situation. You are suffering, and we want to help you. Can you explain to us once again how the process works 'soul mates?'

Lorenzo exchanged a quick glance with his twin brother Alessandro before answering.

-We were designed to be complete only with the presence of our soulmates. Without them, every day is torture. We feel intense pain, a burning that cannot be soothed by any known remedy. On Rka, the notion of a soul mate is literal and biological. Our hearts and minds will only be at peace when we find them.

Alessandro, more reserved, added in a deep voice.

-We are ready to share our advanced knowledge and help humans in return. But our top priority is to find our soulmate

Doctor Sandoval nodded, absorbing every word. She turned to her team, made up of the best scientific and medical minds on the planet. They had worked tirelessly to understand the complex biology of Blue's twins, hoping to decipher the mystery of their pain.

-We've made progress, she said, turning back to the twins. "Our research suggests that the connection you're looking for could be detected by specific brain waves. We began developing a device that could scan individuals' brain waves to find a match to yours.

The twins then turned towards the room's large picture window, looking out at the bustling human city.

Doctor Sandoval stepped aside to oversee preparations for the next brain scan, determined to accomplish the impossible. The quest of the Rka twins was no longer just theirs; it was also that of all humanity.
