Chapter 3 - Chapter Three

(Fernando Jason's POV)

As the young lady passed, I felt like chasing after her. I had been captured by her beauty and the courage she possessed. However, it was not pleasing that we had to part on a bad note. Anyway, I was going to let her go. If we were meant to be, fate would bring us back together someday.

"Young master, let us leave…" I heard my bodyguard tell me. I didn't wait any longer and I went into the car. In no time, my car drove off.

As time passed by, I still couldn't forget the sight of the young lady. She was slim, tall, curvy, beautiful, and sexy. Apart from these attractive features, I loved her courage and free spirit. She had captured my heart.

"Do you know that young lady?" I asked my driver.

"Which young lady, young master?" My driver asked slowly. He was focusing on driving now. He probably didn't want to make a mistake like he did the other time.

"The one you almost hit with the car…" I told him shortly. I removed my phone now and began to check out some things.

"Yeah! I don't know her, Sir. I don't think she lives in the environment as well," my driver replied. "If she lived around, I would probably see her around. She was even dressed like she was heading to work."

"Right!" I affirmed. I was busy thinking about how to reach the lady. I was sure she should be traced and found.

"Is something wrong?" Jake, my bodyguard asked me carefully. He hadn't said a word since we got in the car. He was gazing at Mr. Martin, the driver.

"Not, Jake," I reassured him. "I am only worried about the lady. I think I want to find out more about her."

"That shouldn't be too hard. You have all the resources needed. All that's needed is your word and I'd happily find her for you."

I sighed.

"I know, Jake…" I continued to say now. "However, I don't want to stress you at all. I think I know a wiser way to do this."

"Which way, young master?" Jake asked me carefully. Mr. Martin was focused on the road.

"According to what Mr. Martin said…" I divulged. "The lady is probably working around this place. She had a formal uniform and it's quite obvious that she works in an office."

"Yeah! She must be working in one of the companies around here. It's quite shocking though!" Mr. Martin chirped in.

"Why?" I asked slowly. "She looked quite smart so I don't think it's shocking."

"I didn't mean it that way, young master…" Mr. Martin noted. "The companies around here are posh and luxurious ones. From what I saw, the lady doesn't seem to be h and bag?"

"You're right but what if she is working a low-paying role…" I suggested. I was trying to wrap my head around the issue.

"No, Sir," Mr. Martin said again. "In case you do not know, your company for example uses cleaning brands with a reputation. Our cleaners come in their vans to clean. Receptionists in this vicinity are paid more than enough and they are even provided with their official cars to end cases of late coming. Can you see what I am driving at?"

Now, I could understand Mr. Martin's point. He was making sense. I smiled at him. I knew I was a smart person as a driver.

"Yeah, I understand," I replied. "But that doesn't solve the situation, does it? How do we know her intent in coming? Since it's not for a job then could it be she came for an interview?"

"Exactly!" Jake chirped excitedly. "That must be the missing link. That's the only thing she could be doing in this environment."

"Good! Go and investigate all the companies recruiting currently. She should be in of them!" I told Jake slowly.

"Yes, Sir," Jake replied. "I'd order the men to take care of that."

"Cool!" I said and rested my head. I closed my eyes to take a quick nap but all I could see was the lady's face. I was going to find her, even if it meant it would be the last thing I would do on Earth.

****************************

Later that day in the office, I decided to walk around. I was tired of sitting on a spot and the only situation I could find was to work around and enjoy fresh air. Of course, Jake, my bodyguard was with me. He was always with me every day and every time.

As I moved around, I saw a familiar lady leave the surroundings. I could recognize the lady as the person I saw earlier in the morning. Quickly, I called Jake to confirm.

"Hey! Isn't that the young lady I met this morning?" I asked Jake quickly.

"Which young lady, young master?" Jake asked politely.

"The one I told you to look for…" I replied to him quickly. I wanted him to confirm before she went out of sight.

"Oh! Yes, she is. Shall I approach her for you?" Jake asked excitedly.

"No, I am quite worried about her intent to be here. She doesn't seem to be in a good mood and meeting up with her now could not leave a good memory in her heart."

"Then what should we do?" Jake asked again slowly. I looked towards Jake now slowly. I already knew what I wanted to say. It was only inconvenient for me.

But I later said it.

"Help me follow her…" I told Jake. "I am sure we would find handy information if you tail her."

"Sure!" Jake replied. "However, who would you follow you home and protect you? Remember that I'm your bodyguard."

"I know…" I replied. "I still have Mr. Martin and like I told you, I wouldn't want to miss this lady. Tail her for me."

"Yes Sir!" Jake replied and set out instantly. I watched him leave with admiration in my heart.

****************************

Jake hadn't set out for even thirty minutes before I received his call on my phone.

After he had left to tail the lady I met that morning, I also went back to my office to attend to some mail. I wasn't expecting Jake's call but I accepted it on the basis that he had something very important to tell me about the lady I met which I didn't even know her name.

"Hello!" I told him over the phone. "Why the urgent call? Is it something urgent?"

"Yes, young master! I just watched the young lady get kidnapped," Jake reported. He had a shaky voice.

"What! Are you sure?" I cried.

"Yes!" Jake replied. "What should I do?"

"Why could you stop them?" I began. I knew better not to focus on complaining as it wouldn't solve the situation. "Follow them! Do not miss them! I'd be there with more men soon."

"I will carry out your order!" Jake replied. "I will also make sure to inform you in case of any urgent update."

And with this, I cut the call and dashed outside. I was going to get my security team.

*****************************

Jake had told me that the lady had been taken to a construction building. I, together with three other bodyguards were going. We had contacted the police already.

I dashed inside the construction building with Jake and the other three bodyguards.

We engaged in a fight. I managed to save the lady but as she tried to escape on her own, one of the thugs that abducted her, shot at her. Quickly, I dived and took the bullet for her.

I fell as I lost unconsciousness.
